The first Red Orchestra was pretty unprecedented. Surely, the second one may have some faults in comparison to the first, but you have to give much credit to the series for shedding light on a much uncredited theater of war in World War II, and doing so in a very fashionable, realistic, and tactical way. Rather than debating which game will be better, we should really be rejoicing in that there is finally more coverage of this theater and more options in which to experience it.

When I kill someone in Osfront/Darkest Hour I feel like my kill counts,Like I'm helping the team win the battle - Each enemy killed allows 5 of our guys to advance to the objective. RO2 is just a spam shoot em up fest. not my cup of tea....

Like I play Darkest Hour on the Berlin map for instance' thats 80 minutes long - just pure busting your ass gameplay,your kills actually count and make the outcome of the final battle. RO2 just dont cut it for me.... just my opinion though

I miss like Osfront and Darkest hour with the huge maps that took an hour to finish,man when I finished one of those maps I felt accomplished and wiped out' HOS to me is more of a jump on a server and have fun shooting and stuff. just my opinion though

Yeah too bad arma 2 blows. Shitty movement, unrealistic tanking and a bunch of retarded AI is all that will come from a game with this engine. ARMA 2 had nice graphics, fairly realistic helicopter flight and a good ballistics system. Other than that it sucked. I think what ruins the game the most, is the movement and the AI which 95% of the time you will be fighting even in online servers.

@Master7770 Well I only agree with your point that there is a lot to improve and hopefully some issues will be sorted out by BIS sooner or later - but talking about the WW 2 Mods - they are really good imo and if the makers of this maybe work on some things it can only be grand. But as I said on ArmA 3 : Nobody's forced to like nor to buy and I am only giving my personal views and advise to ahave a look and compare to other WW 2 games so far...

@TheBigHase Dude sometimes,People got bad version(PIRATED or ETC),FADE will start to kick in and degrade the game 1 by 1.But I have to admit,The game is really buggy but thanks to the patch it solve it :D ArmA II is the best.But this game is use the modified RV 3 Engine (Real Virtuality 3) and looks awesome.Looks like It got ragdolls too :P

@HawkZachary Not me though Sir (or dude) I bought it (both ArmA 2 and OA) and at this point there is still a lot of bugs and I am a little upset since there's no new official patch for OA only beta which I don't use in general. And IF will be good too I am very sure if I miss my guess one drink on me...

But I'll stick to it anyway - only one reason are the incredible WW 2 mods ("Fields of War" for instance is gonna be awesome I think). It also interesting to mention that "Invasion 1944" runs much nicer and smoother than any "modern scenario"

Out of all the things Tripwire promised us that we missed in the beta was going to be in the full game, nothing came through. I've loved those guys since they were a modding team, but now it's time to let go. They're the new Infinity Ward, nothing special.

I too had and still possess some concerns but I can honestly tell you besides the missing features that were promised and some performance woes, I truly believe RO2 is not much different from a bottle of wine - let it age, it already has the framework of an amazing game. It will eventually cater to all of us especially when it comes to community mods in the future.

@ThorHal haha, true, I was gonna say the same. if you have played the original Arma II, then you should be able to imagine how this mod will be, and the video even says "ACTUAL INGAME GRAPHICS", which means what you see here in the video is exactly how the mod looks in general. Very nice video & mod, i will soon download it at release date!
