Frank Mir gave the most honest opinion of fighting ive ever heard, I used to have all the same emotions before my amatuer boxing matches, used to think I was a pussy, but once u get in the ring all the fear goes..although im not sure every fighter feels the same I cant see Randy Couture or Fedor throwing up before a fight..its like another day in the office to them.

I won two times over Brock Lesnar in the UFC game LOL when I was Frank Mir. One time with take down and ground and pound and one time with Kick to the head.
Frank is one of the most intelligent fighter analysts & commentators there is.
He actually prefers to talk at a very technical level about his gameplans rather than most fighters usual diatribe of "I'm going to be superior standing-up, superior on the ground, I'm going to finish him, etc..."
Mir can seem a bit stuck-up in pre-fight interviews, but this was quite refreshing. He's honest and intelligent and isn't afraid or ashamed to admit he's actually a scared, nervous wreck before a fight. Thumbs up!

Roberto Traven was one of the most decorated grapplers in mma when Frank subbed him via armbar. Traven was a 3 time world champion at the time as I recall, twice winning the mundials and once in the adcc no gi championships (it was either openweight or heavyweight that he won I think). Frank was a purple belt at the time.

man that is crazy. Something pretty much no one else experiences. Imagine waiting in a dressing room, knowing that in 15 minutes you're going to get locked in a cage and have to fucking fight Brock Lesnar most likely until one of you is unconscious.... you'd be forgiven for brickin it...

Man, getting these jitters before judo tournaments, I fucking love it. Frank nails it right on the head. There is NO experience like combat sports and the satisfaction that follow competing. Such an unreal experience.

Randy is not a Real UFC fighter, hes a wrestler, he should not be a Hall of Famer, he doesnt know Submissions, oma platas or anything, he holds people down cause he is afraid of them and punches them

Frank Mir gave the most honest opinion of fighting ive ever heard, I used to have all the same emotions before my amatuer boxing matches, used to think I was a pussy, but once u get in the ring all the fear goes..although im not sure every fighter feels the same I cant see Randy Couture or Fedor throwing up before a fight..its like another day in the office to them.

@cptprice14 There's a Tito documentary called '7000 Feet'. I think he says it in that. It's a horrible documentary, so it's not worth watching. He definitely said it though. He said he doesn't know why he pukes before every fight, but that he "knows he's not a pussy". That's a direct quote.

Frank is one of the most intelligent fighter analysts & commentators there is.
He actually prefers to talk at a very technical level about his gameplans rather than most fighters usual diatribe of "I'm going to be superior standing-up, superior on the ground, I'm going to finish him, etc..."

Mir can seem a bit stuck-up in pre-fight interviews, but this was quite refreshing. He's honest and intelligent and isn't afraid or ashamed to admit he's actually a scared, nervous wreck before a fight. Thumbs up!

Congo will Murder Mir, Mir"s Win over NOG Holds No weight with me, Noguira was so sick he shouldnt have even been fighting that night. He was Hospitalized for a week right before the fight for Staff Infection. A Healthy Noguira would Destroy Mir. Not to Mention Lesnar which is a white belt Man Handled Mir and Broke him. Dude Lesnar would handle you without even a white belt, regardless. Even if you had a black belt in anything. There is no Shame in losing to Brock, Frank Mir is still an awesome fighter and best submission artist i have ever seen. Frank is one of the very few fighters i actually pay attention to when speaking.

All i see from other fighters are arm bars and Rear Naked chokes. Oh and put Renato against Frank in the octagon, not just grappling, an all out fight and Renato will get owned by post-accident overweight Frank, let alone the old Frank.

Roberto Traven was one of the most decorated grapplers in mma when Frank subbed him via armbar. Traven was a 3 time world champion at the time as I recall, twice winning the mundials and once in the adcc no gi championships (it was either openweight or heavyweight that he won I think). Frank was a purple belt at the time.
