i just bought one..so im pretty excited..i know its not the fastest but i dont care what i like about it is the torque. climbs the hills i have by no problem. oh yeah @mankotaboy my real car could keep up to your menace no prob and run it over...who fuckin cares about your post...to all that think they are the shit fuck you...rcs are fun no matter what they are they keep us young. to all that brag once again fuck you...
i helped a gentleman on my road set up and run in his manic. this thing is so powerfull. i dont care what people say about this truck it is a good strong truck that can go round a corner without tumbeling unlike a Savage. To anyone that thinks the handeling isn't up to par try using a savage at similar corner speeds and you'll roll it everytime.
Belts are fine for onroad vehicles, but unless they're fully enclosed, they're a no-no on an offroad vehicle. Many people who owned HPI RS4 Rallies and RS4 MTs. Belts break. Belts wear out over time. Gearboxes don't, unless you do something stupid.
There's a reason why belt/chain driven 1:1 cars are extremely rare. A belt is a liability. Especially when you compare it to a sealed gearbox.
@dragracer3 i own one of these trucks and have only ever had the belt fall of once simple snap back on and months of running with no belt issues why complain if it works..
@hapazaz No, a shaft would be a lot stronger, and is more complicated. A belt is an un-necessary weak link. It's much, much easier to break a belt then a shaft. And you know what? The parts count doesn't really decrease for a belt. By the time you add pullies, belts, tensioners, your parts count is just as high as a shaft drive, in a system that's far less reliable.
@wun1gee i own a manic and have had it running for about 6 months and havent had to replace or tweak the belt at all.. what im getting at is the belt system works fine and is probably abit lighter if anything than shaft drave systems..
@a123abc12 belt drive is simple it works, have had one of these for months and no problems.. why take the piss if it works and works well? your maybe just jealous of not owning one ;)
seems like a gimick truck to me, people that are cluless in the world of rc will be OMG ITS GOT TOO ENGINES IT MUST BE SUPER FAST!!!.. when really its an expersive peice of crap that drains fuel/glow pugs twice as fast as any other truck and yet doesnt deliver any extra performance. Just my opinion..
This is standard Schumacher fare - loads of power, no handling, no off road ability, bits will wear out within a few tankfuls, and will break as soon as you look at a crash. I've had loads of Schuey's and it's the same story with each one - it breaks when you use it properly, when you don't it wears out quickly
gday.. i dont care what they say,, i like the schumacher trucks,, have 2 of the older xtr.21e3,s and apart from lack of ground clearance, they kick arse.. and before anyone says i dont know shit as i have those, i have 2 brushless e,savages, 2 savages and 3 on road cars, battery and nitro.. so im no new to rc, and i worked to buy them..

Speed is 40-50mph...no need for a good mt to go any faster...on this truck I really don't like that dodgy drive belt and already probs reported about it from quite a few owners..rather keep to the havoc if I had too but really want revo 3.3(5309 new version)
Fuck You Crafty - Your a total fukin Wanker !!! Your just some punk ass boy still living with his parents somewhere in that shit hole called the UK. All your R/C cars where purchased for you buy your mommy and daddy. I don't give a flat fuck if you like this piece of shit Manic - I say its a pile of shit - and so do the American RC magazines, and web forums. Nobody here cares to hear your opinion, and nobody here cares what you think. Catch a fucking clue you little bitch.!!!
Hey Crafty: You can shove your Manic right up your Fuckin Arse you Bloody Twit. I don't have anymore time for your retarded bullshit... So bugger off !!!
THE MANIC is actually a nice truck i havn't seen it in any rc mags but i was like you thinkinbg it was shit untill i seen one in the flesh and i have to say they are very fast and strong.
I kinda like the twin engine design. You can find a few .18's that have 2+ hp. So if that is what these are, then Im fine with it..
It seems that to have an individual rc engine that has 4+hp, you would have to pay alot more.. Im sure this one has more torque ontop of that anyway.. and who cares about the belt.. buy a spare... pay a couple bucks for a larger tank.. .
The truck looks cool.. but I do think it is a little up there in cost.. I'd just wait for it to go down.
Reason hes not using the radio, is because he's running the motors in for the first time, no need to waste battery power its gonna just sit on the starter box for several tanks of fuel ticking over.
Its a very boring but very, very important thing to do. You need to properly bed the piston to the liner.
I dont know how well the belt will handle off road use and that fuel tank the size of a pipett. Also believe it uses them damn star shape screw heads.
how do you prime the engine on this

It's kind of neat, and a twin cylinder's a novel idea, but a belt? Seriously?
I'm thinking it's gimicky as well. It's probably torquie as hell, but that's bad news with that belt floppin' around.
Next summer, Schumacher puts a turbine in a truck. Just watch.

belt isn't a problem at all, not even a factor mate :D i own one

@a123abc12 a belt is also an easier replacement, and u know what they say, the simpler it is the least possible to break

now you need twice as much money to run that thing, more glow plugs, more fuel consumption, more maintenance.
not that cool IMO
