i agree...been into social d since my high school days in the 80's....this song brings out the irish in my greasy italian....i might burn for saying this but my favorite writers are ness and eninenem
grew up on mikes lyrics, was a highschool prick on mikes lyrics, became a man on mikes lyrics, lived through sorrow pain laughter good and bad times through mikes lyrics and I will probably die listening to social distortion many years from now, every song is a story every song reflects to a piece of my life, he has to be the best songwriter ever at least to me
@TancoMartin He's a talent, for sure....In the top 10 lyricists of all time imo...weird that the world doesn't know him...He's easily the lyrical equal of Dylan, Cash, Haggard, Townes, Kiedis, Steve Earle...Springsteen....a storyteller par exellence....(Just saw 'em in Orlando a couple weeks ago, and it was awesome to see the line full of people in their 20s' talking about how it was their first Social D show..) Ness Forever....And Mike, hurry up with the acoustic album!!
@rastablues1 Fuck dog your an old man :). I bitch that im old cuz im turning 30 this year and a lot of my fave albums came out like 15 years ago or more and it seems like yesterday to me. Ill prolly be involved in the local punk ska hardcore and metal scene till the day I die.
...It's all in the mind eh? ....I was hitting the hills on my Bahne in San Diego in 75'...listening to Lou Reed and Sabbath....now I do it on an S9 in Florida...Me and Ness are proof: If ya keep movin'... ya keep livin! Peace.
@TancoMartin I feel bout the same way. I think I listen to Tim barry. social distortion or mike ness at least once a day. Social distortion was my favorite band for about 15 years now they gotta share that topspot with hellmouth and tim barry.
Social D,to me, is one of the most underrated bands of all time.As Rodney used to say,"I get no respect."20 plus years together,(I know Mr. Ness is the ONLY original member left) The loss of his best friend.Social D does it their way,If you do not like it,watch American Idol.Every song is a short story,Mr. Ness is a classic storyteller through song.If you do not have his solo stuff....get it! It came out in the mid 90's.
You will never find another band like Social Distortion ! Life has its roller coaster rides ! The music of social d makes my life easier to understand !Mike Ness has to be one of the best song writers ever !

@rastablues1 I laugh at people when I hear em talking about it being they first show, then I laugh to my peoples about how old we have become.

@xxspliffsmokexx Si.....It's interesting being 51 in a punk show pit ...yes, fifty-one...actually, on the EDGE of the pit... :)
Music keeps us young, brother! As long as Social D keeps hitting the stage within 500 miles of us, my wife and I (and our daughters) will be there.
