  • Thanks for posting this lovely interpretation of Autumn Leaves by the Everly Brothers..It is just so beautiful.

  • @justmusicandme one of my very favourite postings.

  • this is nice, wow

So beautiful and heartfelt. They sound terrific, their harmonies are marvelous !

  • Love the Everly Brothers.....somewhat of a new song to me, hadn't really heard this one before....Great song but wonder why the lyrics don't say " I miss you most of all my darling, when the autumn leaves "are falling".. instead of "start to fall"....Seems like a natural rhymn to me...Oh well, love the song anyway.

  • @maedawg I'm easy with it. My favourite bit is between my darling....start to fall

  • @maedawg I always think the phrasing at 1.30 on the word "darling" could have been better - to my ears it sounds awkward. I think it should have had one syllable. Just the way Im hearing it.

  • @noahwayne How the f...k can they make a 2-syllable word into one syllable...!? Dling? You're up your ass trying to pretend you have something intelligent to say.

  • @Lafforte Easy...by changing the word to one with the same meaning which uses one syllable ie love...ps ....dont come answering my posts with your aggression. Its my opinion and a valid point. As a pro live musician, songwriter and composer I reckon I know a bit about music you halfwit. PS...If you want to continue addressing me in that manner drop me your address and we can discuss this face to face.

  • Wow, I thought Eva Cassidy's interpretation to this song was the best (moi opinion)until, I heard the Everly Brothers' version. So, now I got two fave versions.

tyvm (for the stero sound !), SirBasildeBrush

pssst, put up a decent "Wings of a Nightingale" !

  • @ElysianFields100 My pleasure. Took me a few moments to work out tyvm.

  • @ElysianFields100 I'll sencond that!! couldn't agree more, the two greatest interpretations of this song

  • @georgehamiltonmcmill Thanks. Probably the post I listen to the most.

  • great upload!thank you!!!

  • @TeodoroYaki Thanks, one of my favourites.

  • first i heard this from Bing Crosby. Now the EVERLYs dou , VERY NICE.

  • my dad loves this song, so thanks!

  • I can understand why - a wonderful version of a wonderful song.

  • They could sing 'any' song and make it sound great. Have not heard this song by them. Love the song, a classic!

  • WOW

  • Couldn't agree more.

  • This is also a great arrangement, with wonderful and sensitive playing by the backing musicians--except that darn piano, which just sounds clunky!

  • I can't stop focusing on that piano now!

  • Sorry!! It's just in a few spots, maybe because everything else is so perfect.

  • Haven't heard this beautiful song in ages. Such harmony. Thank you, Sir.

  • My pleasure.

  • Basil -- another "dreamy" song by a great duet! They do a great version of this Pop Standards classic! Thanks for posting it!

  • You dug deep and discovered one of my true favourites.

  • Although I'd like to take full credit - bulovia50 shared it with me ( she's very knowledgeable about The Everly Brothers)! It's a FANTASTIC SONG though :-))) Thanks again!

  • There was a very much respected (but not a hit) mid tempo version of this song n the mid 60's in the uk by a female artist.if anybody remembers it i would love to know who it was..

by the way this is also a great version..thanks

    richie

  • A beautiful standard... sung stunningly by Phil & Don. The mark of a great singer is being able to sing anything... You can be all about Rock-N-Roll, but when you have voices like the Everly's... every song you sing becomes yours! There is no one who can put that stamp of perfect harmony to a song like the Everly Brother's! Thanks for posting a wonderful video!

  • Originally a French song ,"Les feuilles mortes" .Try the Yves Montand version!!!

  • Beautiful song, perfect harmony, as always by Don and Phil Thank you for posting

  • Always glad to know others are listening to this beautiful song.

  • This is a lovely version of a song I remember listening to on a piano version, Roger Williams? The Everlys sound beautiful here.

  • Probably the song I listen to most of all my posts. Just beautiful.

  • Very good. I like Nat Cole's version of this song best, but the Brothers do a great job with it too!

  • the brothers never cease to amaze me...they are truely blessed with angelic voices

  • Gorgeous, as the Everly Brothers always are!

  • I've been listening to this non-stop since I posted, I'd forgotten just how good it is (especially in stereo).
