From what I have read so far.... AT&T Confirms Their Employees Helped Kris Allen Fans Text Votes During 'Idol' Final. the AT&T employees gave instructions to partygoers on how to send "power texts" -- at least 10 messages with just one click... Adam should have won!

Yes, I saw/sent the NYT article....very believable...Adam has a massive amount of blogs/fan websites...constant buzz before the finale, and especially after his totally INEXPLICABLE loss.............!!!!!!!! I like Kris (love how at ease his is with Adam's sexual orientation) but Adam was the best contestant ever to walk on American Idol's stage, and all the judges said as much.

The New York Times is reporting that American Idol's Kris Allen may have had a little help from AT&T in winning this year.

According to the Times, AT&T provided phones for free text-messaging services at two Allen parties in Arkansas on the night of the finals. Citing sources, The Times reports that AT&T reps showed party-goers how to "power text" -- cast 10 votes at the touch of a button -- which violates show rules.

The article does go on to say that according to "Idol" there were not enough votes to make a difference...obviously this questions the credibility of the voting system......at least in my opinion. The mere fact that AT&T has something to do with it also bothers me as they advertise on Idol. Adam was the best singer/entertainer and deserved to win. I was truly disappointed and dismayed when the results were announced. I'm a big Adam fan and will support all his endeavors.
