I have had to trap mice like that; once I had a mouse in my bedroom which we trapped successfully and on a seperate occasion I had on under the cooker and trapped it!

That is a rat rather than a mouse. Rats have their place in the scheme of things but that place should not be anywhere near where humans sleep, work or especially, eat. In the wild they are repulsive vermin. That was a big success for such a little mousetrap.

However I wish there was a cleaner, quicker and more humane way to do this necessary job. That rat did not die well.

And oh HELL yes!!! I'd rather see a bull gore the living shiznit out of a matador anyday than see a human being mistreat an animal. This year, 2 human beings were gored to death during that "running of the bulls" debacle they have "over there". I didn't shed one tear for those injured and dead human beings.
