  • Instead of nitrous he hit the NAWZ Button. :D

  • za krótkie

  • 2:28 DEM EYEZ

  • Step right up, chums, and watch the kid lay down a rubber road - right to freedom!!

  • give props to gosse

  • Back when Mel was Normal!!!

  • I've always thought of this movie as a prequel. We see the birth of Max's car (forgot its nickname).

  • @maujo2009 the V8 interceptor.

  • @maujo2009 how do you mean a prequel? to Road Warrior? thats because it is, was made and released before it.

  • @maujo2009 I know. But usually this film is not as known as its sequels which are pretty unrelated with this movie anyways; thus, you can watch the sequels first and push this one until the end and the effect is very pleasant.

  • @maujo2009 That was only the case in the USA. This film was a huge hit all over the world. Each to their own, I can see how it would be fun to find out all the stuff you didn't know about the others, but they were intended to be watched in order.

  • that engine sound of Max's Ford Falcon V8 XB is just amazing, I get goose bumps^^ at 1:19

  • The nightrider reminds me of russel crow

and at 2:09 for some reason i think he sounds like the lion off wizard of oz hahaha:)

  • 120 psi. in those tirse to make it wheel-hop like that!

  • bob brown hates Mad Max

  • Eyes at 2:44

  • votes for the aussie version ??????

  • NIGHTRIDER RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fucking yanks just recored over the aussie voice. fuck we got to get use to your accent. get used to ours cunts.

  • @LYNCHIE1011 !!!TROLL ALERT!! ACTIVATED

  • @pimpninja1985 calm your tits faggot.

  • good film

  • So umm, Why was the guy Crying?

  • @xaxie1 he realized that he was not going to get away once max's interceptor caught up with him.

  • @xaxie1 because there's nothing left. it's all gone.

  • Such a great movie. It's crazy that anyone thought that American audiences couldn't appreciate the movie with the original Australian accents.

  • Who cares about the accents...we all can understand both versions, sit back and just enjoy a great movie.

  • Listen to the fucking exhaust! Just AWESOME!

  • The American dubbing is utterly woeful and unwatchable.

  • "Shit, I was just going to give him a $120 speeding ticket".

  • sorry mates...american dub FTW ....it goes with my cheeseburger and fries that I ate when I watched this on my over-sized TV in an air conditioned living room filled with crap I haven't paid for with my visa.

  • epic car chase

i'm the night rider fuel injector suicide machine

  • press 3 to add throttle

  • @raxredneck press 4 to get REALL accent!!!!!!!

  • never mind the shite acting and the piss poor Victoria roads, how about them Z1's? From Bathurst to Boxhill, they started something that has never stopped.

  • Emberére akadt a csávó...

  • To this day I don't understand why Toecutter switches to a complete pussy after Max starts to chase him. Why, is he scared of Max? Did he lose his confidence cause he lost the game of chicken? WTF is happening?! His reaction is so abrupt I can barely understand it, anyone care to elaborate?

  • @Shemassault first, Toecutter is the biker gang leader. Nightrider was acting tougher than he was. Max didn't back down when the two cars played chicken. Nightrider just lost his composure after realizing he had just met his match.

  • @SageofTalos right that was Nightrider, dumbass me. Anyhow yeah he bitched out but I'm still baffeled that he just burst into tears, that was weird as hell.

  • that 351 Cleveland sounds so good. enough said

  • @kuhndog52 haha not a 351c

  • @b16aefmadness thats what i was told

  • Night Riders last words were...Nothing baby..It's all gone.I have wandered about that.Did he know that the world was going or is wasted?

  • i love mel gibson. .

when i first watched this i didnt know it was him at first and when my dad told me i was like WTF

  • Look into my eyes 2:28 O_O

  • The dub takes part of the soul away. Vince Gil acted and raved like a nut job in the orig. love the skid, one of the most ballsy car stunts ever done.. but hate the simpering girl cos she bears a sickening resemblance to my ex

  • has anyone noticed at 2:12 on this video the side road out the nightriders passanger window & the city in the back window?

  • Actually I like the dub better

  • better this way!!! nice axcent

  • i have a mad max sleeve...

  • lovthaigurlz The Pursuit special the night rider is driving is a freaking Holden Monaro. George Miller is not an idiot. and what the mechanic was describing in the garage was not meant to be put as the one the nightrider is driving. you have to think about this.

  • the sweet arse rumble of a 351 cleveland v8

    *fap*fap*fap*

watched both the original aus and the us dub i can honestly see and hear no reason to of dubbed at all still always favourite the original over the dubbed but the us dubbed is ok to watch aswell each to there own if you grew up watching the original or the us

  • I'll tell you why the knight rider was crying like a little baby, because he saw who he was dealing with, Mad Max in that interceptor. He couldn't hang with Max playing a game of chicken and he wimped out.

  • This was 1979 (approx)..NO australian film had ever been watched by more than 3 american people at this point in history. So when Max came..thery could not understand the accent or so a theory by the distributers went. This was all unknown territory then. Easy to sit here in 2011 and criticise. These guys were doing the real thing "OUT THERE ON THE ROAD".

  • the one thing i could never figure out is where did max get his black intercepter from (the one with the blower) its a ford falcon XB gt coupe, its the only one in the movie, and based on they way it went/they talked the only thing i could think of is the mechanics fixed and moded the monaro that the night rider was driving into max's black interceptor

  • I love the V8 sound from those Falcon's!

  • 2:25 epic burnout

  • pause-press 9, play and repeat

  • eyes at 2:28

  • The knight riders accent sounds like he straining to take a shit.

  • wow i never knew they dubbed our accents over for an american accent. who'd of thought the australian accent is so hard to understand considering we BOTH SPEAK ENGLISH!

  • @drunkenpimphand

People don't want to be reminded this takes place in a country that doesn't matter.

  • @AntiSchiff yeah right sure thing buddy

  • I am the Night Rider!

  • Hmm, I first saw this movie when I was really young with the American version, the only version I knew existed. Then about 20 years later I bought the DVD and low and behold it was set to the Australian version. I just wasn't use to it and preferred the American version. I can assure you that I UNDERSTOOD the movie perfectly with Australian accents. Just a preference.

  • @SuperDrugless Yes you may have understood MM1 with Aussie accents - but you most certainly missed the point, the subtleties, the innuendo and many other aspects of Aussie culture. As for the "Australian version", no that's how the film was made in the first place. It's suck a shame that so many Americans are so culturally blinkered that they think their way - is the way.

  • @SuperDrugless This movie was an Australian made movie made with an all Australian cast , Iv'e just come across the American dubbed version just now on here and I hate it , it makes a mockery of the movie , the original Australian version is the only version that should ever had been shown to english speaking countries.

  • @DBH62

Right, I can appreciate that. Thanks

  • @DBH62

I love the orginal Aussie version too!

As a German, can somebody explain me why the movie is dubbed in American???

    I dont understand it.

  • The 351 was a nasty engine when built correctly! Love this one!

  • а звук то какой у машинок, описаться можно!!

  • Omfg, just listen that engine sound 1:10 !!!!Orgasm!!!!

  • fuck that was a long road!

  • GEEZ I THOUGHT IT WAS DAVID JACK ME OFF!

  • What is this? why is he talking like that, thatts not nightriders voice

  • @TheLostTheForgotten They dubbed it for the American release. They thought we wouldn't understand it with the Australian accents. Lame. I'm buying the Blu-Ray that has the un-dubbed version

  • @lovthaigurlz it was because unlike the other mfps Max is a more skilled driver and was willing to ram Night Rider head on and that scared him because he thought max, like the other cops, were chickenshits.

  • Comment removed

  • @lovthaigurlz ok to answer that one, he wasn't even paying attention to the road, nor his ability to drive when max scared him, its also the reason why he crashed while any sensible man would either steer away from the wreckage or stopped the car.

  • @Shanethefilmmaker after 2 Bottles of Whiskey that´s a quite normal crash :)

  • @lovthaigurlz who cares?

  • @lovthaigurlz apearantly they did if they knew how to make a fake supercharger not restrict airflow

  • @cmjmkcapbpjhdsatjx Its not that hard. All they did was use that blower case as an air cleaner. They sell the kit online.

  • @lovthaigurlz The reason he "Cried Like a Little Bitch" is firstly when Max challenged him to a game of car chicken he realized he got scared&veered off. Secondly, when Max did the 180 degree turn&caught up to him so fast&rode his ass so close&bumped him he realized two things-Max had more balls than him&Max`s cop car with Max driving could out perform him-there was NO ESCAPE! His reaction was over dramatic but this is a 1979 classic cult film which is surprisingly Australian. Magnificent!

  • @954cudaman WOW!! Its as if you directed the movie. Am I talking to George Miller, what an honor. So if you got a vette and I'm driving my mustang I guess I can catch you on the straights. As a director he shouldn't of brought up the point that it was a pursuit special on methane. I think the wrong guy directed this car movie. It made no sense in the beginning. Yeah!,go Australia.

  • @lovthaigurlz Man, people are incomprehensible these days.

  • @lovthaigurlz

LOL, do you analyze every movie this way?!? how is superman flying for example and beat 3 bad guys in part 2, that's unreal, isn't it? please tell me then your favorite or best movie, so i could lough in yer face

Yes, Goose is telling Max about the engine, but that's not the "whole same car" Max is chasing here... it's from " ..piece from here and piece there.."

  • @lovthaigurlz - PART 2

and Max is driving INTERCEPTOR, so we don't know how fast is that car or which engine is in it... others are driving PERSUIT cars...

And that's not the point at all here, you're on drugs or something... we just see here how Max is crazy, and knightrider is just big mouth... when they play chicken and knightrider turned the wheel first he realized "there''s nothing left" and he gave up on that point

  • @Zaprehik Because hes from the planet Krypton, everybody knows that.

  • @Zaprehik I lough in your face.

  • lol knight riders a pussy, soonas that cruiser showed up in my rearview the craziest smile wouldve spread across my face and idve given him the meanest chase of his life

  • How did an Intrceptor catch the stolen Pursuit Special

  • God damn it the US voices suck. I was lucky to find the aussie version first.

  • lol why dub the english to english!

  • The true Aussie version is better. However the American Night Rider is epic... It's what I grew up on.

  • I like the American accents. I have never seen it any other way..

  • @FullyAutomatic9 Me too,I've heard it with the Aussie accent and I didn't like it at all...by this I don't mean any disrespect to the Aussies.

  • @boleplissken I knew Mad Max was filmed in Australia. I never knew the original had the actual actor's voices. You could always tell Mad Max had the audio dialogue added later like a good old spaghetti western. I am now on a mission to find a copy of the Aussie version on DVD. I must have one as an avid fan of this cult classic...

  • @FullyAutomatic9 You can download it on PIRATEBAY, I actually stumbled upon it by accident, I would send you the link but it was long ago I don't remember which one it was.I've got a DVD box set for some time now so I erased the downloaded version.

    Happy hunting!

  • is this moive any good ??

  • HEY PEOPLE. I'll tell you a secret...

    I am the night rider

  • I heard that there will be remake of this movie and director will be same just like for this one was. :P

  • bad ass mad max !!!

  • 2.29 lol

  • ... now its Mad Mel.

  • 0:21

Oh come on, they couldn't even spring for a manual transmission?

  • i love this interceptor just as much as the black one. i wish i could have one. too bad im all the way up in canada.

  • Lol i have never heard the USA Mad max sounds funny makes the movie shit..

  • the V8 is the killer of the road!

  • @bry1888 I looked at that gorrilaz video. It's ok, although I'm not keen on the El Camino Bruce Willis drives...

  • This is of my favourite scenes...of all the film. The black car is a Holden Monaro. Super car V8. Awesome car.

  • Is that Mark Rogers here ? I never knew he was a movie star ?

  • Is that Mark Rogers here in the passenger seat ?

  • The Night Rider was guilty as charged. Sentence carried out. Give Max a raise

  • ive watched this movie on VHS since i was 3 years old.

  • I seen the original version on TV when I was a kid and loved it. Years later my brother bought it for me on vhs and it was the dubbed version and I thought WTF. I was ten years old and seriously confused at the time. It reminded me of godzilla movies!

  • Why does everything have to have an American accent? They should have left it alone.

  • @borrisbirdlegs

You can get the "original" movie with the accents, but it is hard to find. I searched forever for it...but found it.

  • why the hell wuld u dub this??

  • I love that V8 rumble,

there is no other sound on this earth quite like it.

  • whats with the voice?????

  • cultissime

  • LOVE THAT EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Funny...he doesn't look at all like David Hasselhoff

  • ROFL ;)

  • FOREVER!!!

  • 1:58 - "what's wrong baby?" "We dont have our seatbelts on"

  • the best movie EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is horrible!

  • It was just about one year ago that I even knew that I had been watching a dub all these years ive watched it with the Aussie dub and its just as good I like both of them I wish they would have a Max tour here in the states that would be so awesome!

  • "theres nothing left its all gone" he knew the end was near!

  • oh I agree it was gone, and he was dead, he was asshole anyways, good one man

  • wow im in america and ive never heard this american dub

  • Personally I like the american dub...I grew up listening to it this way. I think they did a good job matching voices to faces actually...they seem to fit well and they stayed pretty accurate with the original dialogue...you got to appreciate that at least that they didnt change a bunch of lines.

  • that is SO CRAP with the American accent dub!!!

  • :50 is orgasmic

  • Best movie ever !

Australian version is so much better than the american voice-over crap.

  • AMEN ! ! !

  • One of Mels best movie

  • V8 só o ouro =D

  • great stuff, great movie, i've got this on dvd.... fuck yeah.

  • The original audio fits the movie a lot better than this american dubbed crap. I don't know why they did that. The Aussie version is perfectly understandable. And it gives the film so much more depth!

  • The American dub over doesn't have that 'insane' qaulity to the voice as the original version

  • you are a fuckin boob - this sounds like fuckin shit

  • DAMN!!!!

  • Just listen to Max's Interceptor! It sounds exactly like the 77 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme I had. Damn, I miss that Car!

  • I like the american dub of the nightrider's voice better. I think it fit's the way he iooks better. Probably cause I grew up watching the american version. When I finally got the austrailian version, the nightrider sounds like a "PIP-SKWEEK" like he was talking on helium, and alot of the other guys too.

  • I agree, thats why both of us keep getting the thumbs down all over youtube LOL, i guess it pisses off the aussies. Oh well , tough shit.

  • Damn straight it does. lol!

  • The American Voice over sounds shocking.Especially when hes near crying

  • This is crap with an American accent. It loses so much character. Do yourself a favour and watch the original. It's like Aussies speak Spanish. Why did they dub it? Lame.

  • @inorbit30 so people would like it.the voice sounds more intense in this version.both are cool though. Great film...one of my faves. Timeless...

  • @inorbit30 hells jeah mang... you should see the jamacian version......lots of blunts too.

  • @inorbit30

People don't want to be reminded this takes place in a country that doesn't matter.
