I liked this film mainly because I am a HUGE fan of the original TRON and they had a LOT of references to the original film. Now did I think it was perfect? No. The acting is pretty sub-par aside from Michael Sheen and Jeff Bridges performances, and the story isn't all that great, but from what the film is, just a basic action sci-fi film, it's a lot of fun to watch.

This is one of those movies you know will be good. Disney made the first and made this one. The only time you get a serious screw up in a sequal is when its a different group making a movie then the first. Disney knows how this needs to go and they have 20 years worth of fans to please. Actually, most of the music for this trailer is done by Two Steps from Hell. It's from their new album "Invincible" and the song is "Am I Not Human." TSFH does a large majority of exclusively trailer music for films, video games, and tv shows. Even though Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack, you'll find that most trailers have music done by a specific trailer group, not the people who compose the actual film score.

i do hope this will be a killer movie. theres plenty of room to screw it up, but thankfully all parties involve are great at what they do, and were smart enough to bring in the original director/writers as lea son.

as for the soundtrack, well, i want the soundtrack the score, the audiobed. i want it all. this is the only flick that has real potential to be something special.

AVATAR was a visual wonder but a complete let down storywise.

Someone commented here it took mere seconds for Flynn to do his thing in the system so ten years would be longer in the real world. That's not true. Flynn goes inside the system at night. After the mcp is destroyed and Flynn gets out, is early in the morning or even before that. Actually proof of this is at the end, when the MCP shows proof of space paranoids origin on its screen. So really, Flynn only stays inside the system for just a couple of hours and time goes by just like in real life.

Considering that the dad is still in the tron universe, one would think that from the bases in the first movie that it has been a near 1000+ years for his dad. It only took seconds for the dad to do all he did in the tron world last time, so for ten years? That is long in the tron universe.

I have to admit I was scared of a Tron remake/sequel since the original was one of my personal favorite movies (even if it is a bit outdated).

I think CGI has finally reached the point of realism were it can be used throughout the whole film without taking anything away. Avatar demonstrated this, and I think Tron Legacy will too, because those visuals are just breathtaking.
