The Bulgarian people.... especially the new and upcoming generations should keep this treasure alive, your Music is so authentic and old. Its even older than Greece itself. Bulgarians keep ur folklore alive
It impresses me greatly how Bulgaria has recovered from the long centuries of brutal and corrupt Ottoman rule, to become once again a modern nation, part of the European family. A case of civilisation prevailing over backwardness.
Чак ми се плаче като слушам тези прекрасни гласове. Ааах, защо трябва чужденците да оценяват и харесват нашата музика. А ние българите прости и не ценим какво злато имаме...
this song is amazing, i heard it in "encounters at the end of the world." does anyone have the lyrics or know what it means, i think judging on the slavic planino means a plane or valley and strani i think i hear means old?
Планино, стара планино, откак си била и пребила, никой не те е пребродил. Сега те броди българска сватба голяма. Българска сватба, сватба хайдушка и т.н.
Planino means mountain, and stara means old. The translation is shown at the start of the video. But these basic words are usually the same in all Slavic languages (e.g. my own language, Croatian).
Kolko sam shtastliv che se warnah, da ujasno trubno e tuk, no musikata ni e chudo, prenasja me prez wsichki trudnosti, lekuwa wsichki rani, a kogato ia i izpalniawash si w nebeto, wsichko minawa.
@vdoundakov they did acknowledge it, or at least the composer joe loduca did. the only reason i have been fortunate enough to discover this is because that "piece of shit" brought it to my attention. it brought it to a wider audience. you can't deny people influence of a certain type of music because you think it's "yours".

когато се пише за България нека да е на кирилица - това ни остана и песните и танците - защо на латиница - та това е то еничарското в кръвта ни -
