Dr. Serdev. Are there any cases where patients have complained of the stitches bothering them. How does the perminent stitching have any future side effects through aging?

Sutures are soft and semielstic, permiting some movement of the tissue. The stitches are not hard like Prolene stitches. No patient has complained, filling the stitches.

The suture matherial is not permanent. The Bulgarian threads are long term absorbable. The fibrosis is finaly forme after 6 to 18 months, The threads desapear after that in about 2 years.

i had my ears done when i was 14.

not cuz they disturbed me or something,

i just wanted shorter hair and i thought it would look funny having my ears.

during surgery i had some problems... started coughing, lost more blood than normal and my pulse went crazzy! :)

had to stay overnight.

but anyways, definitely worth it!!

love my ears just perfect!

Skin is not attached to the sutures. Only cartilage is stitched. Skin shape looks normal

i really really want this done but my mum says she dosnt like the idea, she has no idea how self concious i and of it and i really annnoying and frustrating me, and advice on persuading her?

If your mum has the same problem like you with the protruding ears, ask her if she was ever made fun of, if she was bring that up and how it made her feel. If she doesn't then tell her how bad it makes you feel.
