@TrainingArena555 December 31, 1862 she was being towed around Cape Hatteras when a storm sunk her. The story is amazing.
will she ever be resurfaced?

Seems very unlikely. The wreck is now a tangle of metal and wood with nothing to hold it together. They might bring up a few more pieces, but lifting the whole wreck would not be feasible.

@swayer556 They've done it with many WWII Subs. However the Monitor is most likely too fragile for conventional salvaging techniques.
