  • If she is from turkey it means that she is 100 % suryeyto= syriac-aramaic no assyrian. (Assyrian babylonian) ho spoke akkadian have mixed with ohter people in mesopotamia. The assyrian from iraq and the syriac and the chaldean is aramaic languages and no assyrian language. You can find so many aramaic language, hebrew have 70 % aramaic words. The hebrew alphabet is the same as the aramaic alphabet.

  • Ashur people have died they are not pure blood ashurs sorry haha. Ashur people are mixed with other people so forget that suryoyo is ashur. Assyrian people from babylon spoke akkadian that is not close to aramaic language. Every body ho is suryoyo and think he is assyrian ethnic background please type assyrian DNA here in youtube and watch the video about a assyrian girl from iraq ho lives in USA. She did a DNA test and She is from turkey, the professor told her that.

  • chelebe basemtoyo eeeh zemmartate tewdi al zmertoch?

  • i don't understand it but love it

  • Not a big fan of suryoyo music but very much respect. can someone explain to me what kind of middle eastern culture this is? is it close to assyrians?

  • Yeah, Suryoyo is the same as Assyrian music, we just have different denominations. Many Suryoye see themselves as Assyrians and others as Arameans and some just as Syriacs. The motherland of us all is Mesopotamia.

  • im a kurd i like suryoye music i live in hamburg i play in a soccer team svs suryoye mesopotamien wonderful pupils the zazoyo's and gremiras :D

  • hahaha...sehr gut bruder:)

  • this music kinda sounds like the music you hear in western syria in lattakia and such. any corelation?

  • well, in middle east, like turkey, kurdistan and such, you could hear songs that is close to syriac songs, before the turks and kurds killed almost all of us and took our land, it was called Beth-Nahrin, now Mesopotomia

  • I see... well Mesopotamia is just the greek translation of "between two rivers" and a lot of english words come from greek, i don't think they named it mesopotamia to tarnish assyrian culture, but rather because it is english. Also, the people who live in western syria are mostly alawites and christians and both were heavily persecuted at the same time by the ottoman empire, there is even a story that says 25,000 alawites were killed in 1 day, which wouldnt be surprsing.

  • what dous suryoyo mean?

  • it means Syriac

  • It mean Assyrian.

The Greeks called the Assyrians for Suryoye. But only the Syriac Assyrians in Turabdin and Syria.

  • @aafaking it means syriac, and is ofthe assosiated with the native inhabitants of syria.

Also, suryoyo's are mostly Chriatian, so they also see it as a christian name.

  • @aafaking

suryoyo is a name derrived for Ashuraya. Aramaic has a tense of dropping the A. So now we stand with Shuraya.. the greeks were not able to pronounce the letter SH so they made it S. So now we stand with Suraya and cuz of dialect differences it became suryoyo.

So you see? - such words/names as Assyria, Syria, suryoyo, suraya etc. are all names derrived from the root ASHUR. :)

  • @xxAtrinxx you are wrong sir. Assyrians and Suryoye are two different peoples with different languages from each other in writing. Suryoye talk with an Aramaic dialect. Assyrians are descendants of Ashur and Suryoye of Orom.

  • @donultimo

i am not wrong sir, because u view it in such a simple way... and that isnt good :)

    go read the book :)

  • @xxAtrinxx Are you for real??? How did you come up with that assumption. Get your facts checked... Aramaics derived from Aram (hence Suryoyo). Assyrians derived from Ashur (hence Ashuri) they were brothers. Please dont ever call us the same. It is an insult to our proud heritage.

  • @aramaicgirl

I did not come up with that assumption. Can you please go study some assyriology and linguistic?

how the fuck did you go from Suryoyo to Aram ? i just explained you how it went from the root ASHUR to SUROY.

The ignorant attitude you have is an insult to mankind.

  • @xxAtrinxx for starters i have no interest in studying assyriology because i am not ashuri. And second of all Suryoyo is a dialect of the Aramaic language. Asuri is Assyrian. Sorry you are too ignorant and self obsessed to understand the connection. Now how the fuck do you go from Ashur to Suryoyo?????????

  • If i drop a letter here or drop one there, i can make a new word too. Great imagination. the greeks couldnt pronounce the word......hahahahaha. That has to be the best argument i have ever heard.

  • there is an article written By Prof. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis which explains how you assyrians came up with that theory, please read it and it may explain how your ignorant attitude is detrimental to mankind

  • @aramaicgirl assyriology is the name of the entire topic including everything in mesopotamia.

If you knew basic linguistics (perfect if you knew semitic linguistics) you would know that SH and S often change.. You would also know that A is a weak letter (especially in the aramaic language ... fx. it is called amar and not mar (say) ). Keep these things in mind and you will see that A-SH-W-R (ashur) changes into S-W-R (sur).

  • @aramaicgirl so we have the root S-W-R (sur) and in our language you put a -ya to make it a nationality (example: arabaya, ashuraya, turkaya / oroboyo, ashuroyo, turkoyo) so now we add the two letters to S-W-R -> S-W-R-Y-A (in the eastern dialect we still say suraya) .. the greeks took this name and called you that when they were in control of todays Syria (that is why it's still called Syria). You western assyrians took this named and aramized it (even though it still was)

  • @aramaicgirl So you see... S-W-R-Y-A ... add another -ya and you get S-W-R-Y-A-Y-A ..... suryaya / suryoyo. Go read something about semitic linguistics. shlomo.

  • @aramaicgirl you said they were brothers, and in the same sentence you say we aren't the same. did the brothers have different parents from different parts of the world?

  • Is doch yakub !!!!

  • TIHE SURYOYE!

  • Suryoyo !! TRUE SURYOYE!!

  • Love this song! Greetings from California. Armenians and Suryoyo's!

  • Hey, I'm all the way in Canada, is there any way at all i can get this album?, or at least the real song> I don't want to rip it off youtube, it doesnt sound that great
