You people have to understand that the mom's attitude changed completely when Peter had her partying with him and his dope addict friends. Believe me, a woman will do anything for a guy who introduses her to that side of lfe. He probably had his friends doing lines of coke of her ass. Ahh the memories.

The mom was sooooo weak. Guys like Sam look for women like that, but she continued to let him dominate the household so it's just as much her fault as it is his. The kids always get the shitty side of that.

@addicted2you20 Its real tough one, remember at one point of the film, Brian (Corey Haim) suggested to Jake, that they actually should runaway, it must be horrible, when kid contemplates doing that because he don't feel safe in his own home,when his own mother has know control of the situation.
