@kissypoutchi Noooooo waaayyyyy. Lin dan is like 4 inches shorter than peter gade and peter has the ability to elevate higher. I think Lin jumps higher on a more frequent basis because he's a bit faster than peter cuz he's lighter so he recovers faster from the time spent in the air. Peter has crazy angle, better hands and better footwork than anyone in the world

jump smashes are so that you get a better angle on it..the smashes will only be faster for people who do jump smashes properly, because of gravity...but most ppl cant so you HAVE to jump high, or its a waste of energy

I agree with you. However, jump smash isnt all about angels. Its actually faster than a normal smash. Lets take Bao chan-lai for an example. hes like wat? 198 cm? he is tall all he has to do it just wrist smash. But he still does jump smash at the back court against lin dan becuz its faster but its not that much angled. But Jump smash drains loads of energy but if performed correctly, then its can go alot faster than normal shots.
