what type of cutting appliance is that? i have a spiralizer.. never seen that one before but i'd like to get one.. thanks!!

It will work without the guard. The guard helps to get perfect slices on mushrooms. Without the guard, celery with de-string, with a slice passing by the cutting cone and through the end of the hopper. In the same way, carrots will leave a wedge for you to snack on. Thank you so much for the video. I bought one of these a couple of years ago and yet to use it. I don't remember receiving the guard with mine. Will it work without the guard?
