you may wish to skip hearing this all together - the balance has been messed with - someone separated the original - more than likely for study purposes and added a FAR FAR OUT THERE drum track that is SO FAR OUT THERE it is very frustrating --- BETTER TO GO and listen to the MORE ORIGINAL: : João Gilberto / Astrud Gilberto: The Girl From Ipanema FAR better experience! this is a sad and very strange recording and should've already be removed.

This track seems off somehow - strange to hear the drums accenting the offbeat and the vocals sound slow, stretched and off the mark rhythmically. yes ladies and gentlemen, this is either WAY progressive and OUT there or it is a study recording for some EITHER INCREDIBLY ADVANCED percussion student or a tin eared percussionist (I've met some.) If you turn off the percussion track ( shift to far LEFT channel) it is actually beautifully rendered. At some points it still sounds like the tracks were inadvertently separated out of sync with each other and placed back together again in an incorrect way. The balance is seriously flawed. Hmm.

Hermosa melodia cantada en portuguez Amricano, Brasileño. Me imajino al compsitor viendo caminar esas bellezas por la playa de Ipanema en Rio de Janeiro. Debe haber estado muy hermoso ese cuerpo dorado para inspirar tan hermosa cancio. @misteredwino I know a lot about "ethnic" music. There are different beats that many American might not get. An example is Reggae in which the guitar strums on the upbeat. Well Brazilian music has African influence like Reggae does. Listen carefully to the percussion utilizing the "upbeat" rather than the downbeat you're probably used to hearing.
