Crx del sol's are right hand drive, and were on the production line in 1992. The del sol didn't arive in the U.S. until 1993 and was never called crx del sol here. they changed it to civic del sol, I am not sure why but they did.

Sorry, but circa405 is incorrect. The CRX del Sol is the same thing as the Civic Del Sol.

In the US, the del Sol was called the "Civic del Sol" in 93 and 94, then they called it just "del Sol". Everywhere else it was the CR-X del Sol at first, but the European market eventually dropped the "del Sol" and called it simply, "The new CRX".

Si is a trim level. In the US, we have the S, Si (SOHC VTEC), and VTEC (DOHC VTEC). Japan had the S, Si, and SiR. Euro had the VXi (US "Si")and VTi.

sorry, del sols dont weigh 2950, you dont add the front and rear weights from the door sil, take it to a weigh station for trucks and have them weigh you, the car comes in around 2100, basically an eg coupe, put carbon fiber hood roof and trunk with a few more mods it will be as light as an EG hatch around 1800, go shoot yourself

you do have a point. some JDM parts are stock... in japan. here in the US its a little different. we miss out on all the goodies. a JDM/EDM transtop from an EG2 CR-X SiR.. and the door maplights and rear foglight? find those stock in the US.

dont get me wrong. my car is mostly all OEM. but ive added JDM stuff to it too, keeping it in a Japanese OEM style. its personal preference man. youve been to car shows. bet you theres hardly any cars that dont have anything JDM or EDM.

Its not that they're rare,you just have to know where to look, but the lack of sols is because ofkids trying to make them into wanna-be skylines, busting it then take it back to their dads and they junk it, I love my del sol, but a heads up to ANYONE out to buy one, dont go with the 93, ever unless you want to do an engine swap, i traded out my sohc enigne for a B18C out of a GSR and its godly, but it cost me about 3 grand to do
