The war does ,,,but why help it,,,putting down the troops does nothing to stop the war,,it only hurts the poor families of the soldiers who died ,,and keep in mind no matter how "unjust" it may be in a way,,,,they are still without a doubt defending mine and everyone else who lives in a free societys rights to say and do as we please,, if we didnt defend that right we would be censored, slaughtered, and held down for almost everthing we do,,just remember that , curse the war not the troops 4real

No one in Iraq poses a threat to me, or you. So, no they are not protecting us. They are occupying a nation that doesn't want them there. Our nation doesn't want them there. They are killing and dying for NOTHING. Not for my freedom or protection. Propaganda has convinced you that our soldiers are performing an honorable action by killing Iraqis and people in Afghanistan. You have been lied to. There are just as many PRIVATE contractors over there killing people, as soldiers. We are not safer.

I never said I didn't support the soldiers. In fact, I'm disgusted by how they are treated. That does not negate the fact that they are fighting, killing and dying for nothing.

Being honest about whats going on does not put down the troops. Being dishonest on the other hand certainly demeans their sacrifice. They are serving thier nation honorably, but they have been led to become an occupying force in a nation that is not now and was never a threat to the U.S.. They are in fact worthy of all the more praise for it.

I never said that. I said that the deaths don't hold as much weight. Meaning the world see it like, "Oh well, what did you expect?" However, if they were fighting for a just cause, their deaths would be interpreted differently. They are sacrificing themselves for nothing, and it is disgusting and wrong.

If by just doing their job, you mean securing oil fields, arresting all males 15 and up, and getting paid squat compared to the private contractors who are doing the same job plus causing blow back for the actual US troops by being abnormally vicious, or being fodder for military arms makers to proliferate a never ending "war on terrorism", being disallowed from returning home after serving tour, after tour, after tour, because there aren't new recruits willing to die for corporate profits.

Most of them are FORCED to continue the occupation. They are not allowed to return home due to "Stop-Loss". They are making the US less safe, in continuing to occupy , we are radicalizing young people who see us as an oppressive military force, killing civilians and resistance fighters. More than 1,000,000 Iraqis have died, in a war that has lasted longer than WWII. When will we stop? After 1,000,000 US casualties?

it's always a shame when people die in general anyway, but on the level i don't get why people drop everything when a celeb dies. her family would be devastated, fair dos, they KNOW her. but i don't get why all the groupies who act like they're in 1st name terms with her, stop acting! yea it's sad but people die..... i'm mainly freaked out that she was 32. 32, man! too young.
