Is here any way to reset the effects to how they were out of factory? I got a second hand of these and half of the effects are PRETTY messed up, reverse, for example has a HUGE delay and notes are blocking eachother. D:

I saw In Fear of Olive play live last week and the guitars sounded superb, the guitarist was using a stock Squire Telecaster 62 re-issue Classic Vibe (Sunburst with rosewood neck) playing through a Pod XT Live and I was mega impressed. Although he did not play much distortion, just mild overdrive and reverb , mods etc I still think any effect overdone can kill a sound and also it is down to the skill of the player, if not controlled by playing techniques some sounds can go haywire

If someone can help me out, I got a new amp (all tube) and it sounds really amazing but the tone is kinda thin when playing single notes and the distortion isnt the highest. If I get one of these could it thicken my tone up and give me higher distortion with some tweaking ??

@TigertailzBezerk If it's an all tube amp, you have to turn it up loud to get the tubes to distort. That's how you get your distortion in a tube amp.

I've got one of these. I can get a pretty good tone out of it but just like any other gear you need to know how to use it! It's probably the best effects pedal board for its price. I do agree that the XT sounds better than the new versions which sound much more digital and have less warmth. All the same, I can't wait to change to analog gear. :D

It's not paranoid tone, it's crapest tone!Seriously distortion on those things are torture.Even cleans are sterille and ultra digital, nothing like a good tube tone plenty of dynamics.

@Trevaland the factory presets usually aren't nearly as good as they can be "as is", and need tweaking most of the time to match your current configuration of guitar and amps. There are some very good patches done by users that are way better. I have some for AC/DC, Sabbath, Zep and others made by users and available at Line 6 site or other sites elsewhere that are very very close to the originals.

I hate these units!! compared one to my analog pedal set-up which was connected to a decent valve amp! my personal set-up sounds great! I plug in a pals line-6??? horrible!! where did my lush warm/clear tone go?? I know how to programme this digital stuff, and this unit doesn't do it for me!! the EQ is horrible compared to something like a MXR 10 band! and I found my tubescreamer and handbuilt overdrives totally owned anything the Line6 could do in the overdrive section, it was shocking

@Fender1976uk are you sure you're not connecting it just regularly into your amp? you need to plug it in so that it is just the pod xt live making the tone, and the head of your cab just being used as the power amp. Or you just need extremely neutral settings on your head when you plug it in regularly, but that is virtually impossible.

I find that using the cold shot patch works really well with the Strat neck pickup. The patch is inspired by the Stevie Ray Vaughan. If you try some of his licks you'll notice where they were going when they made that patch.
