@MrJimmy1227 is the grunge pedal any good? the ds-1 was my first pedal and i thought it was awesome.... until i tried some of my friends pedals and ended up selling mine.
@kdc300z It depends on the amp. I had one and played it on a little peavey practice amp, and it sounded like a can of bees. But I tried it on my Carvin full stack and it sounded pretty good, just not enough kick.
@fm694 You can't compare those 2 pedals, the DS-1 is for a classic distortion or soft distorsion, the digitech grunge is more agressive, it depends of what do you wan't to play, sorry my english sucks :)
I have a question i need help on I want to buy a Morley A/B Box but i don't know how to make it 1 signal again How do i make it one signal again? Do i use a coupler? someone help please!!!
Listen man do away with that HD400 it's totally fucking any tone up that's there. It's just making a honking noise which is hard to bear to be honest. Unless it's the video mic, but something is really bad with the tone. Don't mean to down your efforts but just trying to be constructive.
Nah , no worries, I understand what you are saying. I dont have most of that stuff anymore, and I think its just the camera and no microphone. I run a much simpler set up now.
Like I said, I wasn't criticising for the sake of it, I was just trying to lend an honest ear. I'm glad you took it in the way it was intended. All the best
Ahhh, that Digitech Grunge is... not the best. I think it's okay to use for songs like that 311 song, but the best kind of distortion (I think) comes from things like fuzz pedals... i.e. Frantones, Fuzzface, Big Muff... they're all good, even that Boss FZ-5. I think that Digitech just has too much treble, it really hurts to listen to. Although that may just be the settings on the pedal itself, I dunno.
No man the Grunge sounds great through a Marshall. It's actually really bassy for me and sounds amazing with the bass at 3 o' clock, treble at 12, and grunge at about 2 o' clock
It all depends on which amp you use although I tried it with a little 15w first act amp and it still sounded bassy
Get a tube amp and your tone will improve alot. Pedals dont really work with transistors, but as an answer to your question: Delay in effect loop and DS1,Phase and Crybaby.
I have to slightly disagree, but agree about tube amps. I thiink pedals outside of overdrive pedals work well with SS amps. Line 6 is ok, until you crank it and it starts "square waving"
Bro, I am happy for you, I truly am, but every time you get something for your pedal board is not really a cause for an annoucement. No offense, but its like my little 10 year old nephew who always says "Uncle Ken Guess What I got?"... ITs all good bro, just posts some vids of your board or something!
I'm actually wondering of that the flanger of boss is better then flanger of digitech?because I don't see the very big different and there is a different is price ^^
I'd highly recommend the Electro Harmonix "Deluxe Electric Mistress"! There are some great deals on used ones on ebay right now, it's well worth it! I think you'll like it better than Boss or Digitech.
I have a question. Do you power your pedals by battery or power supply from the wall, because i was wondering if you had to have a seperate power supply (from the wall) for each pedal, or can you get a special type which powers all the pedals. Thanks.
I use a 1Spot POwer SUpply from Visual Sound. It is a daisy chain power supply. Supplies everything except the Q Tron, look at newer videos to see it.
I have a question.....I'm planing to build a Pedalboard....but i dont have more than 400 bucks.....I play stuff like Pink Floyd and LEd zeppelin....can someone tell me what are the neccesary pedals I need for that! Please, I need help
It's sort of like an auto-wah. It's a sweeping EQ modulation, but instead of being based on your up/down foot movement, it's usually controlled by the voltage of your input signal.
i see in the description that you have a Behringer HD400 Hum Debugger, im thinking of buying one cause of the nasty hum when i turn my distortion pedal on. does it get rid of most hum? and does it affect your tone on clean?
Try out the Boss Noise Suppressor, Used by many pro's and just takes away the hum without compremising tone or volume. Its a bit on the dear side but worth it I'd say.
i do. i have one and i love it. you cant get a shit loud of tones out of it. if youre looking for an overdrive under $80 even $100 its worth checking out.
Whammy or pitchshifter/harmony pedals should always go before other effects unless you want to confuse the pedal, and wahs should probably go before delays or echoes, and it really depends on if you want to "encapsulate" some of the other effects in a wah or give those effects to a wahed sound.
kudos on the behringer delay my friend i also own one an they r just as good any of the boss or digitech models i think they need to work on the tap tempo mode a bit though
my pedalboard has changed much since this video. I do run an overdrive through my effects loop on my Fender deluxe... Everything else is ran in front of the amplifiers.
sorry bro, I dint have a noise gate pedal so I cannot help... The behringer hum debugger works as long as you do not use an ab switch that isnt internally grounded.
i got the hd400 and it did me no favours - probably because the sounds are not caused by the same things in the uk as we dont really have the same grounding problems
Great looking pedalboard, not too crazy about your choice off effects but to each his own right. Did you make that board yourself? Perfect size for gigging.
I use the switch to switch between 2 different amps. You can use to to change amps, guitars, or play 2 guitars into 1 amp. Foot switches like that are pretty useful. Mine is a Behringer ab200 footswitch, a copy of the Boss footswitch
