@coltonpanda Just because you use a pick doesn't mean you're taking the easy way out. It could be you like the sound or you play a more steady straight forward genre. When I jam with my buddy also a bass player he blows me out of the water in fingerstyle but with a pick I destroy him. It's cause I listen to metal and everything else

@usernametookmeawhile This is one the hardest frusciante riffs to pull off. They actually used to play this song a bit slower live.

Another interesting fact about this song is that it hasn't been preformed since John left the band. Rumor is that Josh Klinghoffer struggles with this speed of this riff.

@coldgunsexperience Well, if she's trying to imitate flea, which logic would only dictate, flea doesn't use picks much. Plus, unless you're using a felt pick, it in general sounds like shit if you use a pick. Plastic just don't work. I guess it all just depends on what kinda sound you're going for.
