  • @007nichols Who was Dan Billings is more like it. He died a couple years ago. A great friend and a true producer/musician. Dan was a down to earth guy that lived and breathed music. RIP my friend.

  • I saw this band at a Summer Jam at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. 1979? When the lead guitar part started the crowd got really loud.

  • @kcvideography

Hey man, I was at that concert, wasn't it with the Grateful Dead, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, MIssouri and Jessie Colter got boo! That was a great concert, got sun burnt, rained on. The were other bands there but I can't remember them all.

  • @sdhsker Wasn't the band "Kansas" also there? They were spraying down the people that were standing out on the playing field because so many were passing out from the heat. I think it was about 2 or 3 in the morning before Willie came out to play.

  • @ecksteinish Yes, Kansas was there as well. I remember Willie coming out every so often and play throughout the concert.

  • KSHE is one of my favorite treats when I drive thru St Louis....love me some "sweet meat"....I grew up with Rock103 in Memphis but was stationed in the midwest with the military and became a fan on my trips back and forth between Omaha and home. KSHE is how rock should be done...

  • A great tune for trucking coast to coast.

  • is k-she still operating???

  • @emonster2001 yes for close to 45 years

  • @emonster2001 oh hell yes!

  • @emonster2001 ...Yes, they stream on the internet...they play heavy metal now as their format and this tune is a considered a "kshe classic" and is played as such from time to time...

  • TY for putting this on YouTube. We rocked to this in Hallsville! WOOT!

  • Dan Billings was a good man and didn't deserve what happened.

  • K-SHE PIG

  • WHENEVER I HEAR THIS BAND,I CONSIDER KICKING MYSELF FOR MOVING TO CALIFORNIA. DOES THAT MEAN I,M NO LONGER A MULEY? WOULD,NT THAT BE A REASON TO MULE KICK MYSELF,IN THE ASS?

  • I saw them open up a summer jam at arrowhead stadium 1979 with Bob Welch, Sammy Hagar, The Cars, Heart, and Ted Nugent as the headliner. I wonder does anybody have video tape or film of these old summer jams that would be awesome to see again on youtube. Ron west was the singer in Missouri I believe and his brother was Gary West from another KC band shooting star. This 1st MO. album is decent, there are a lot of good songs on it, I remember hearing the whole LP on KC 'S KY 102 like 1976-77.

  • @earthcity1 I'm sorry but I don't have any video but I there. Wasn't it Summer Jam 1980 though? Too many years to remember for sure. Bob Welch didn't show, but it was a helluva show. I wandered around while the Cars were playing and saw all kinds of sh*t I hope my kids never see. While Nugent was playing he refered to the incident that knocked out his front tooth and the stadium started raining cups. and what ever was available, man I thought I was gonna die, lol

  • @crazydavy2000 Hello Crazydavy yeah it was in 1979 for sure not 80, the summer jam you are remembering was the one in 1982 at Arrowhead, with a little known band 707, (megaforce) REO, Rainbow and a young J cougar remember those red coca-cola cups that all the people on the floor area had stepped on and were flattened and they were throwing them in the air all at once, it was something to see for sure, I think even Ted got a kick out of that, remember he said " Yeah throw that shit Kansas City"

  • KSHE+KHITS= best stations ever! STL for life

  • This would make a great rap song... they're even from Kansas like Shady...

  • KSHE ROCKS 1 OF THE BEST REAL ROCK BABY.

  • Too bad they didn't last very long, I love this song

  • seen these guys in joplin,mo.when i was 13 yrs.old..now that was a way back

  • It's a classic, too bad K-SHE sucks since the mid-80's though

  • Any body remember Ruth Hutchison?? Damn, those were the days! Great times, great friends, and great music to go with it all!! Thanks K-SHE95

  • If I only had a Bic lighter to wave in the air during the open of this song!

  • Caged Country From MCC Does A Good Job Playin' This Song

  • Kudos to the radio station KSHE 95...when I grew up they were the source of Roackin bands, unbiased. Kudos to Kansas City for giving us this music. (My Brothers and Sisters in KC)

  • i saw Missouri play at Arrowhead Stadium in 1978 at Willie Nelson's 4th of July birthday picnic, The Grateful Dead, Jerry jeff walker, the outlaws , waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter plus others all day and night party for a whoppin $15.00

  • @olgrndad

I was there too remember people boo-ing Jessi Colter and Waylon got POed.

  • @olgrndad

  • i saw them at arrowhead stadium in 1978 at willie nelsons 4 th of july birthday picnic. they played with The grateful dead, jerry jeff walker the outlaws waylon jennings and jessie colter and others it may have been a bit of a black period but what a blast all day for $15.00

  • My favorite radio stations are KSHE and K-HITS. I'm a St. Louis boy and listen to those stations.

  • St Louis/The Arch & KSHE 95 :} QC

  • Gods, I am getting old. I remember listening to this as a 14 year old kid (from Kansas city, I might add) and dreaming of the road. Time moves on, innocence is lost and dreams become cynical nightmares. But the music lives on, and still brings a happy smile to my face.

    Peace,

    ADT

  • why do they rock formations in the background?

  • @IamMeredithK 'Cause St Louis/The Arch/Missouri is the Gateway to the West. Sappy but true. :)

  • @IamMeredithK Also, it was the bands intention to give the album cover a post-apocalyptic feeling. Because they felt the arch's design would outlive man.

  • @IamMeredithK cuz theres a mmillion rock formations in missouri

  • rest in peace 70's

  • One of the BEST songs of K-SHE History.

  • It's funny that most of the people talking about this song are from ST.L and the singer wasnt from there actually from Kansas but still a kick ass song

  • @jackandcokegurl This song belongs to all of MO, but it's a KSHE classic.

  • @ceeceerider Its also a KY 102 classic over in K.C.

  • Real Rock !!!

  • this song really takes me back, awsome song and one of the best

  • i remember my first husband[god rest his soul] lovin this song...me too

  • KSHE Rocks!!!!!

  • Ah to be young again. . .Before bills. . .Before serious relationships. . .I sometimes long for the songs of my youth, and this one was a great one. Just me in a pickup truck, driving through the state of Kansas with this song playing on my tape deck that I mixed myself.

  • KSHE 95 is the only Radio station in the world whos logo was painted on the Berlin Wall... Now that is," Bad to the bone" !

  • KSHE is killer no doubt about it so is this song!!!

  • Listened to this over and over way back when and brought my first son into the world by way of this song!!!

  • kshe seems to have adopted a 20 artist playlist at best.they throw in the occasional kshe classic but nothing intersting anymore

  • KSHE is still alive and rockin here in St. Louis

  • A CLASSIC, NEVER GETS OLD (like us)

  • I'm not old yet(only 42), but I keep rocking!

  • Keep on Rocking, hey I am just a few (5) years older, hey did you know that Gary W from this band joined Shooting Star until he retired from the biz in the mid to late 1980's

  • Still A Classic

  • I went to a boarding school in the late 70s that was located just west of Columbia Mo. They must have been pushing some power cause we got the signal there. I know at that time they were a pretty progressive, kick-ass station.
