I miss this so much. I remember seeing this scene in Between the Lions (it was during some song) that reminded me of this. I wish they could bring this back.

And now they replaced the "Feature presentation" one! Grr!

showcase cinema bellevue manchester still show this I think, ive been recently and im sure they show it sometimes. its my fav cinema as Its my childhood and those multiplex ones attract a bad crowd IMO. Showcase is just a nice old school cinema, sure the screens, sound and projectors arent the latest but they do the job and its part of the charm, although the seats dont have cupholders and are abit awkward but still cant have everything.

This was great! The only problem was that it used to make me feel a bit nervous because this advert would sometimes be followed by that anti-piracy advert with the black and yellow colours, the one that lists all the things that happen to you if you pirate films and then ends with the whole screen getting pixallated. Creepy

To the OP, you know the new Showcase idents, the rather polished ones, specifically the one that shows just before the main feature, it says something like "And now the main feature" or "Now for the main feature" or something. Can -anyone- tell me the music that plays in that? It prominently features a muted sounding guitar.

I think the Showcase Cinemas in Randolph, MA dropped this around late 2007-2008. It was too bad, too, because I always found this pretty cool. But it doesn't matter that much; it's still a great movie theater (I went there today with some friends to see "Toy Story 3")

They don't play this anymore, :-( apparently because customers complained about the adverts being too long, so they cut this out. Grrr. This was fantastic.

You know what sucks, they don't play this clip at the beginning of movies anymore at my local NA Theatre. I kinda miss it, it was nostalgic for me considering for the last 10 years they've always played it. Thanks though!

A classic trailer. This used to play at my then-local National Amusements theater, which was preceded by the "Coming Attractions" bumper of this theme (neon lights and stuff) Then starting in 2004 they started to use those horrible live-action trailers. T_T At least the feature presentation trailer was still being shown, but I'm not sure if they still do now because we moved and now our local theater is a Regal! >:(
