@babystinky - Watched it a million times. Joe also originally said he found Elvis lying in bed on August 16, 1977. Joe is and has always been in protection mode.It is not Al Strada sitting CONSPICUOUSLY in the doorway dressed SUSPICIOUSLY like the one and only Elvis Presley. Try the same experiment on your own. Put a chair beween two doors, one partially opened and the other closed. See how much room you have to sit there. It's a hoax. Use your head.
I think we can reasonably conclude that the photo is not doctored. By getting a stamp of approval from Kodak, it really seems like anyone could take those negatives and get the same results. I don't know what to think about a man 'fitting' there, I would have to physically go there and find out for myself. I think the most logical conclusion is that it is indeed the bodyguard and the distance in the shot altered some of his features and things like that do happen.
@babystinky - I explained the stamp of approval from Kodak. The approved the negative, not the photo. It is possible to doctor a photo, take a photo of the doctored photo, then have the new negative of doctored photo examined. See?
@elvisworldwide he would have done it if it was to protect himself and his family.and why after this photo came out,did graceland replace the door with a solid one so no one could see inside?and if this one photo is fake,it still doesnt prove elvis died on 8-16-77.
It's hard to understand how it's possible for Elvis to be sitting inside the pool room and also in FRONT of that security gate. How could that gate be inside the house?
@ElvesseTube - This is also a good point. Usually security bars are on the outermost door. In this case, Elvis had screen door, then security bars, then wood door. Interesting observation, ET.
6. Kodak wouldn't have done a half assed job. And neither would the man who owns the photos. He was getting them checked for a reason, he would have confirmed that the photo with "Elvis" in it, matched the negatives, and that the negatives were in fact original. Now you will think "he says that the negatives were checked, says nothing about the photos" this is true because ultimately it is the negatives that need to be proven original. Doesn't mean they werent compared to the photo either.
I think if elvis were fake death there should be a reason because even he tried to retire the paparazi will boder him so maybe he fake death to everybody so he can rest well . But i love elvis !
Well, even if Elvis isn't still with us, I'd like to believe he is still alive and well, some where. Long Live Elvis Presley! I'll always love him. <3
@elvisworldwide i dont know but the man is saying when he looked again sometme later the light just caught it a certain way and he saw something he hadnt before ...im just saying he was not saying that when he took the pic the light of the day caused it to be in the pic ...its very clear
6:00 THERE! CLEARLY YOU CAN SEE ITS THE SECURITY GAURD!!! ZOOMING IN WILL MAKE IT LOOK BLURED AND ABIT LIKE ELVIS BUT ON 6:00 ITS EASY, ITS THE SECUIRTY GAURD!
If I remember correctly, when the 'Is Elvis Alive?' nonsense became a huge story in the late eighties/early nineties, one of the talk shows from that era (Geraldo or Sally J., I believe) had some of Elvis's relatives/employees on the program. When asked about the photo, they said it was one of Elvis's cousins (don't recall the name) that looked a lot like him.
there is room enough for the chair...there is a picture (which i've seen) where the door is open and you can see the chair by the door. (l think the photo was from 1978)
Also, its not a question about which way the door with the ironbars would open up 'cus the iron door was removed, that is also why you see some of the iconbars behind the image.
I thinks a Elivis impersonation from the bad spirits--I think that's why the guy who took the picture was fumbling on his words afterwards (especially after he met Elvis's friends to totally confirm his death.) IF..you don't believe me....look at all the evil faces in the "Elvis Presley" pic. 7:24
@SoberChickTX - There are two doors. One in front of the image opens OUT. The one behind the image opens IN. The security bars appear behind the image; there are no vertical lines over the image. That means the security bars-door opens IN. Its current position is determined to be "partially opened" - Hello?
I believe you are misinterpreting what he said about he sun in the doorway. I believe he is referring to the fact that the years later on the day he was looking at the photos, the sun reflected the photo differently and helped him pick up what he'd never seen before. That's what I always thought from the first time I saw this video on the Elvis Files.
@illusionistdave - Fair enough. Logic dictates that when you look at photos for the first time in 4 years - you do so under the lamp-light on your desk or in your kitchen - not outside or by a window where the "sun hit on the photo".
@elvisworldwide True, and maybe he misspoke. Nevertheless, I thought your second point (in the video) is an amazing one. I'd never thought about it. Btw, I don't believe that to be Elvis in the flesh in the photo, but I have always wondered if the image may be his ghost. The point about how it could have been photoshopped bothers me a little too, only because they didn't have photoshop at the time the video The Elvis Files came out. That said, people manipulated photos other ways.
Point five: If Elvis indeed hoaxed his own death, being the famous, widely recognized and loved super star that he was; he would have left, not only Graceland and TN. but he would most likely have left the country. He would have been well on his way before any calls were made in reference to his death. That is strictly my opinion........
Point six, It is implied that Kodak is attesting to the fact, that the image in the photograph is the image, as it appears on the negative; in other words, the image on the photo paper was produced entirely from the uncut and sequenced negative,
which proves they were not tampered with. During my career as an investigator in law enforcement, I had to deal with film and negatives on my job. There were occasions that our photos were challenged in court, so we always had to retain the negatives and on occasion would have to contact Kodak to verify similar information. Negatives can also be tampered with but there is always evidence of tampering that is left behind.
Point 7: Elvis relied on his fans and he would not have (punked) his fans. Point taken. I have stated earlier that I believe Elvis died in 1977. I was always a big fan. I believe the only way Elvis would have faked his own death and deceived his friends, family and fans would be to save his own life and it would have been the last resort, the absolute only alternative.
Elvis stated that live performances, seeing his fans in person was his favorite part of everything connected to the music business for him. He dearly loved his family, friends and fans. He would not have taken a chance of hurting anyone unless he had to do so to save his own life. This is also strictly my opinion...........
Humbly and Respectfully submitted, Retired cop and still Elvis fan!

@erictheawful69 - Respectfully accepted, officer. You know how much Elvis respected law enforcement. Staying in hiding would have worked for only a short time. If he hid someplace then he had accomplices, and nobody can keep their mouth shut forever.
@dravenousone - As to the sunlight on the photo: Giving him the benefit of the doubt - he was looking at the photos for the first time in four years - outside - or, by a window - where the "sun hit on the photo"...? Come on. A man sitting on a chair can't fit between the security bars-door and the screen door. Wise up.
As for point 1, the photographer is speaking of when he looked at the photos again and the sun hit the picture. Not that there was sun at the time he took the pic.
As for the door blocking and why would Elvis be sitting there in plain site, the theory is that someone opened the door at that moment, as it's closed in other photos in the series.
In the mater of Photoshop, when this picture came to light, there was no such thing as Photoshop, and the image does appear in the negatives.
@dravenousone - My point is - A man sitting on a chair COULD NOT FIT THERE. Look at the the iron-security-bars-door behind the image; it appears to be partially opened. The only way a man and a chair could fit there is if the door was opened all the way. Hello?
With Point 1, the video disputes the sun on the doorway. I think that's misunderstood as the photographer says he saw the image in the photo itself when the sun was shining on it. So wouldn't that invalidate Point 1?
It's no secret that Elvis was in bad shape in '77 between medications & lifestyle habits so it's not hard to believe he died due to his condition. Still it is said he was an expert on meds/pills. Maybe his ailing physical appearance was intentional in order to be more convincing?
@T2TCB - Thank you for an articulate and classy response. As to your second point re E being in bad shape. I agree with the logic, except that the video of Vernon in October '77 following the CBS Special would make Vernon the greatest actor in history; or, he was in the dark as to E's hoax. As to the sunlight on the photo: Giving him the benefit of the doubt - he was looking at the photos for the first time in four years - outside - or, by a window - where the "sun hit on the photo"...?
@oiddio1 - Yes, it is Elvis' unmistakable likeness fixed to a body on a chair which could not fit in that space between the closed screen door and the partially opened wooden door. And?
@elvisworldwide his family and him were receiving death threats.who do you think is more important his fans or his family?he would fake his death to save his family and get his health back.
@oiddio1 - If he faked his death then Vernon, Lisa Marie, Joe Espisito, Charlie Hodge and the others involved are the greatest actors in history - better than Brando! Check out the video of Vernon Presley in the right column to view the anguish. That said - you haven't contradicted any of the particulars in my video.
Check out the F.B.I. files on the official F.B.I site and type in Elvis Presley. There is a file there that I think you will all find pretty interesting. If you listen to Joe Esposito here;
watch?v=hOHniua-Tuk
He is positive it is Al Strada. Also, later in that Larry King broadcast, the guy who took the picture comes on.
Then this short video of Al Strada, it really does in my view seem like it was him;
watch?v=L-q1NLP6CT4
If there really was no "room" Joe wouldn't say that, he knew that place like the back of his hand.
