In theaters the 3D system comprises of a high gain reflective silver screen, circular polarized glasses, a Z screen and its controller. The dual images are interlaced onto the screen so some resolution is lost. Left and right images is modulated 72 times per second giving a smooth transition. Color spacing is offset by adjusting the gammut files on the projector. Projectors are usually DLP tech with exception of Sony SRD.

It's not just the glasses that makes the video 3d. The video projector is different. It shows the picture multiple times. The glasses just make those pictures be shown as a 3d one!

Most Important! Our screens CANNOT play real d. You need a special one, with multiple panels! Those special screens begin to appear in Japan.

kodak zi6 is awesome, better than the flip cameras. iv had it for over a year, check my dance videos out, all that were filmed last year were on that camera. earliest at 720p at 30fps and the rest were 60fps.

now the kodak zi8 is out that'll do 1080p at 30fps or it'll do 720p at 60fps.

the 3D glasses in the old days made me freaking dizzy and gave me a headache to strain my eyes and it was paper now these glasses you can re-use them and it doesn't make you as nauseous. The movie theater I went to was asking for them back in Manhattan my brother was like "hide them" so we took ours ^_^

circular polarization and linear, i wish it worked on any monitor, but for an lcd, there are only a few manus that make 3d compatible monitors, if you have a dlp your pretty set, but for lcd monitors, you need to have a screen running at 120 hertz, so your glasses can pick up the proper frames on each eye in order to produce the 3d image.

and usually need to video processors to do it. theater use a dual projector, you can also by a dual projector for home use, which is just rad.
