That song at 0:51-1:06 is "Southside Revival" by the Blue Scholars, a hip hop duo out of Seattle, Washington. The song is so sick, and they're one of the freshest and most cutting hip hop duos out there. There's a reason Hari rocks their shirts a lot. Check them out!

"Comedy can be used to address racism by actually pointing out racism." Hmm...a million ways to express my thoughts on the importance of addressing race critically in standup and I ended up with a tautology. Why did I say that? What does that even mean? How did my yellow t-shirt end up on a slant like that? Key questions to think about.
You're being a bit anal here. If you insist on taking it in a particularly narrow and literal sense, then yes, it's tautological. But it's clear what he means. By 'addressing racism' he means 'applying oneself toward solving the problem of racism'. (In the context, that's quite clear.) His point was simply that you can go some way toward doing that by merely instancing racism (through the medium of comedy). There's no real tautology there. As I say, you're just being anal.

Yeah, thanks for that; I hadn't noticed the username: 'hari-the-comic'. (And come to think of it, it did seem a little odd that the person leaving the comment should have assumed Kondu's
But anyway, I stand by what I wrote: it wasn't really a tautology (as I think I've demonstrated) - and, yes, he was still being 'anal'. On the other hand, I'm sure he's right in thinking he could have said something smarter and less obvious.
(If there's anything to be learned from this, perha

I like the very last skit at the end the best. The one addressing border patrol. My favorite remark ever made in comedy!!

"But it's clear what he means..."
"harithecomic" is Hari Kondabolu, the guy in the video who said "comedy can be used to address racism." I think he knows what he meant by that...

...perhaps it's that Wittgenstein was right: everyday language works just fine as it is.)
Thanks for pointing this out, anyway.
