  • revit is just another computer drafting program but with lots of interactions connected with 3D.. i never used any drafting program besides revit and i only used revit for six years..

  • Calm down Guys -this Video shows how we used Revit 3 years ago- WE are using it in much more advanced ways now -you can too by learning to understand what this program can do for you

    Roger Morrison

  • hahahah.....Lair!!! = where dragon lives Liar = where people don't tell the truth..

  • @Leecorrimal FUCK YOU!

  • @SAYAKANMB48 Hahaha what's the matter boy?? Pissed off cause you can't spell? So i'm telling you boy before you criticize somebody try to learn to spell first!! Your id tells you might be some Jap prick, am I right?? I think it's time for you to go back to your "lair" and lay some eggs of common sense. Jane Bbaga!!!

  • @Leecorrimal FUCK YOU!

  • Lair!

    It's FAKE!

  • @SAYAKANMB48 Literally how hard is is to properly spell "LIAR"? It's four letters. FOUR. You really have to be special to screw that one up.

  • uhm..

  • GREAT LEARNING!

  • This is great! I am currently studying Architecture at VUW and just started learning Revit, find it to be a powerful tool!

  • Also search Roger Morrison Revit - for other videos that are on You Tube

  • 1:18 was cool

  • Wow I am a draftsman I mostly do offshore, but seeing this video I can see how to use my 3D mind. I am looking into Revit training, after this video I know I want to pursue in this field of work. I live in the New Orleans metro area I hope I can get to this level of 3D design

  • @ericmors i am sure that you can achieve this level of design in less than 1 year, the exact time depends in how much you really get immersed in the software.

  • For HIRB analysis create a series of 3d lines and pin to site model at 100 mm intervals as a design option that you can turn off and on

  • Hi, how did you do your Height to Boundary Analysis?

    Thanks

  • where i can send my resume? im an architect!

  • so what's better for 3d Models?

    Autocad 3d

    Revid

    3dMax?

I use autocad 3d and it's a pain in my butt some times so what's better???

  • @HenrydeBeli Everyone is moving in to using AutoCAD Revit and BIM or will be in the near future, if i was you id stop using AutoCAD 3D and start using Revit as your normal modeling software.

  • @HenrydeBeli revit. when i go go to skills usa for architectural drafting i use revit. normally when i go out of the like 15 people im competing against maybe 3 including myself use revit and those 3 place top 3 of coarse and every one else is so far off its horrible so i would use revit

  • @HenrydeBeli Sketch Up

  • Rhino

  • the render quality seems pretty bad, no ambient occlusion?

  • Copying the topography layer and raising it by the height limit to verify zoning compliance is simple and smart. Thank you for the advice.

  • As an architect, I find Revitt to be good for presentation, but worthless for working drawings. No one seems to know how to do details with it. There is no clip and paste from one job to another as there is in 2d. Clients like 3d but are not willing to pay extra for it. I find Revitt data entry to be tedious. Revit takes a lot of computing power, and expensive plotters.Walk Through Animation takes a render farm. Good work however....on your clip...some expensive buildings with good fees.

  • @cloudsurfer007 Details with revit is almost impossible.

  • Do you have any pointeron how to make siding as seen in yourhousing models?

  • Thanks for your Constructive Comments ljevri- we are architects and good at what we do - not actors so some grace would be appreciated

  • madafaka keep the microphone away from your mouth. we hear your breaths and all the noise in your throat you stupid. be wise, you use a complicated program but cannot make a simple video.

  • REVIT IS AMAZING

  • When you show options, do you have to save-as different files, or can you "layer" the options and turn on/off the ones you want to show, or end up with? I am not a Revit user, however, I am hoping to switch to it and am concerned about how the options operate, as I design homes and show a lot of options.

    Thanks!

  • @christianstand

Yes, the design options are within the same file so you pick what objects change and assign them to a particular option and you can easily move back and forth between options within the same file.

Very handy when you have owners that can't make up their minds!

  • bonita presentación.... una pregunta para que me responda cualquiera, ¿CÓMO hago un muro que no termine horizontalmente , sino inclinado...veo que no puedo cortarlo ... o si? en revit 2009

  • nice presentation.. do you use 3dsmax also in your office?

  • @MrJayblaze23 This is all done within Autodesk Revit. If I remember right, then Revit uses the same rendering engine as 3DS Max, as they own both programs.

  • I have this at my school and it's amazing!!

  • what is the difference between autocad architecture and revit architecture?

im new to this thing and i wanted to know the differences

  • @alligence

In AutoCAD you are more at drawing details and lines, while in Revit you are doing modeling. The future is modeling I hear a lot. My school is the biggest Revit licensee in the world I've been told by my teacher :D Very nice!

But back to the topic. You can also draw details (like how walls and roof intersect etc., but each has it's own strenght. I prefer Revit, as with Revit I can do what took me a week or two, in just a day or two!

  • we have this at my high school

  • @westfootball32

ours too revit 2010 and other autodesk programs

  • @zee0202 hehe, we got 2011 :P

  • Muito legal! Parabéns.

  • awesome work..!

  • what version is it ?

  • SKETCHUP also does this and easier to use in 3d. but in plans with grids and dimensioning...revit probably got the edge!

  • i'm an architecture student and i love REVITTT!! :D

  • its called revit

  • revit

  • can you plz do a video on how to render and adding matterials??

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Your work is amazing. I have started using revit this year and am loving it. I would like to know how you get the unrendered 3D views looking as good as you do and if you can do it with fly throughs.

    Cheers.

  • it doesn't actually show the use of the application though...

  • isnt inventor with better graphics in designing?? or is it more that you need a graphics card??

  • yea man the new generation of cad its the chosen one

  • i want this program

  • @reecescootkid Get it
