  • just 4 the hell of it .......

  • ...

    ...

...I have a very sudden and very strong urge to go play Arkham City now.

  • Holy shit, not the frying pan on the head..... That always gets Billy.

  • Did I hear "fuck it dude lets go bold" lol? Del Taco?

  • I know Prescott's courthouse grounds well. The rednecks who live in Yavapai County still seem like extras for a Billy Jack movie.

  • Good video!

  • Comment removed

  • i went to prescott arizona as a young-un and my pops said to me "son this is where they filmed the fight scene from Billy Jack ,and I said 'So what'" I think different now...

  • love the big lebowski audio clip.

  • this was filmed in prescott arizona at the court house lawn down town

  • still one of the best fight scene and pre-fight dialog ever filmed

  • 7 viewers got WOPPED in their right side of their FACE ! :D

  • needs to be a remake!

  • @freezeyou88

Now THATS, an AWESOME idea. :D

  • Smoke and mirrors...like politics and religion.

  • my #1 all time favorite movie! =0]

  • Your re-edited Billy Jack proves that Tom Laughlin did do his own fighting scenes. I was impressed and actually like the fight scene better. I still wonder how the f did you do that? The Trial of Billy Jack fight scene is the best too, couldn't improve on that. The Billy Jack character may not be real but Tom Laughlin is and after Billy Jack Goes To Washington I would have voted for him for anything. He goes with the likes of Jesse Ventura, they should had teamed up

  • Billy Jack has super powers...Kicks ass and doesn't even drop his hat...

  • love kung fooy fites where everyone comes at em one at a time

  • its not a park its the prescott az court house area ....i live in this town my friends and i do a lot of billy jack reactments!

  • Loved it!

  • ROFLMAO!...omg I laughed till I cried at the "gong" sound when he got hit in the head!...Im still laughing!...can hardly type!...totally unexpected!

  • ty yowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

  • Where is this town? They are doing their best to rid the town of drunken indians...kudos to them.

  • Watch his feet man..

  • I loved this movie back in the day. Bon Soo Han did most of the fancy stuff, which is hapkido. I got to meet Mr. Han in toronto in the early 80's when they tried to film a remake of Billy Jack but it was halted when Tom was injured during filming. Mr. Han was a very nice, professional man and very skilled.

  • Batman

  • i wonder who trained him? anyone know?

  • Bad ass character, one thing i didn't know was that there were four movies of him, i also heard he was suppossed to do a fifth one,but didn't.

  • LOL!!! I dont remember the "CLOINK" with a pipe!!! LMAO!!!!!

  • In real life Billy Jack didn't get clanked on the head.

  • Billy Jack wasnt the best fighter, but its was the coolest mood, and bad guys. Not just some random guy attacking. When he says somethin like "Im gonna put my foot into the right side of your face' and the guy laughs, u know hes hit. Worthy of a return in todays movies, COMING soon SoN of Billy Jack

  • i would love to learn that stuff but i first learn to heal people before i can hurt

  • The hat was donated by Jethro Bodine.

  • Bestamerica: ARE YOU KIDDING ME????????? Chuck Norris can cok minute rice in 20 seconds. Chuck can pop a wheelie on a unicycle. I can't believe you ask this question grasshopper

  • this was awesome. this version actually misses a couple of kicks from the original scene. you can check it out on other u-tube posts.

  • Hapkido BooooYeee! This movie was sooo far ahead of it's time. BillyJack was my Chuck norris. I go BISZERK!

    '

    yes right on,,,

bruce lee was a teacher to chuck,,,

    chuck learned alot from bruce,,,

van damme and steven seagal were almost fighting each other at friend stallone home

  • @bestamerica Yeah Van Damme was tired of Seagal's shit so he went outside and waited for him but Seagal didn't go outside because he's a chickenshit and Van Damme would have kicked his fat ass.

  • shadowman2192,

    '

    okay thank explain,,,

van damme was born in europe,,,

remember europeans people are hot temper, high emotional, sometime mean, easily get aggressive to fight, bossy, nanny

  • This my favorite scene in the movie!

  • Jordanthecat: Nice job. You're the only person I've seen that made something with all the fight footage I put on the bonus disc of the 35th anniversary. And the sound of the frying pan: freakin' hysterical. I don't know if Tom has seen this, but I think it's great.

Thanks much for the tag to my dad's website.

    - Frank

  • @BillyJackRights Hi, Frank! I sent a link in a PM to Mr. Laughlin's "TomLaughlin2007" YouTube channel, and have reason to believe that someone at billyjack (dot com) saw it, but I wonder if he might have been unamused by that frying pan sound effect.

I loved and still love this movie, and put a great deal of respectful, though amateur, effort into making this video. Thanks so much for watching!

    -Ian

  • @jordanthecat Hey I think this was magnificent!

He was considerably quicker than I ever knew

although I knew this wasn't just a little quick

instruction from a few consultants. The chops

    always sounded cool..

  • All the long and medium shots were of Master Bong Soo Hong as the ass-kicker.

  • Love IT. the dinner bell sound reminds me of when Jethro was a Double Knot Spy and had the Iron Hat. Same type hat made the SAME sound when hit. CLASSIC

  • that was funny!! love it

  • Great movie. Someone please post the entire movie.

  • lol the guys were just standing there waiting for there turn to get kicked.

  • woo-hoo :)

  • good stuff

  • that's actually what it would sound like.

  • really.....Really....

  • Sorry , but I couldn't help but laugh when his head made the sound of a dull dinner bell after being hit with the tire iron

  • @gary32080 I debated adding that, but it became my favorite sound effect in the whole video. I sent a link to my vid to Tom Laughlin and have reason to believe that he's seen it, but he never commented- and likely because of that gong, and the earlier "fuck it, Dude..." sound effects. I made this vid with much love & respect, but he may not have taken it that way...

  • @gary32080 DING!

  • Nice job!

  • Takes me back as a kid in the 70's good times

  • The hat has an amazing fit, it never looks even close to being dislodged from Billy's head.

  • that's not Billy Jack, it's a Korean Hapkido master doing these scenes.

  • sweet...thanks for the upload

  • Just reminds me I got court there on wednesday!

  • These clips are much better than the final cuts that were in the movie. Much better.

  • @wheelkick The version which appeared in the film was a terrific and memorable scene, but I agree that it should have been longer- they had all this (and more) footage they could have used! Laughlin could have edited out all those annoying scenes of kids playing acoustic guitars and extended the fight scenes, and ended up with an arguably much better movie but still, it's hard to argue with success: Billy Jack was the blockbuster movie of its era.

  • Badass.

  • I've asked why are our representatives in government ignoring us and behaving as if there's no tomorrow

*laughing" just saw this comment about the powers that be

"Kinda like that old Billy Jack movie, The IMF and the world bank, is going to put its foot right up against the worlds face, and there's not a damn thing we can do about it"

Still doesn't explain why there going on w/out fear of repercussion. I guess we'll know soon nuff

  • watch his feet, man, he can kill you with his feet!

  • When will a group of attackers learn to attack all at the same time!?

  • OOOhhhh...I'm going to slap you as hard as I can, and there isn't a gosh darn thing you can do about it!

  • True, it's a gong. I told a guy i was gonna hit him on the side of his head. he didnt laugh he took a jab at my face and broke my nose. now i stand back further. Mr Meogi backing out of the dojo was a great lesson.

  • you should try duct taping a sponge to your nose it might cushion the blow and if meogi and daniel-san had simply tied the lids of garbage cans to their backs they could have left the kobra-kai dojo confidently (of course they would have had to use the old fashioned metal lids those new fangled plastic ones would have left them in a world of hurt)

  • I am not kidding, This guy i worked for ( a very big guy) said you'd better shut your mouth. so i did... i turned to walk away and he punched me in the back of the head... when i saw mr meogi backing away i thought "he's had that happen too"

  • i am not kidding either.....when that guy u worked for (the vey big one) said you'd better shut your mouth and so u did and turned to walk away and he punched u in the back of the head ...well just imagine his surprise when his fist hit the garbage can lid u had cleverly tied to the back of your head.....that was my point

  • well, i like the way you think....

  • One of my favorite movies of all time

  • i thought it was very fair of them to attack one at a time.. and clang at the end , masterfull

  • its not a clang its more of a gong

  • I love this movie, As a martial artist i appreciate the talents of Bong soo han and his wonderful Hapkido....

  • Good call, alot of people didn't know that Soo Han was Toms double

  • Now that showcased Bong Soo Han's real Hapkido moves. That was awesome!

  • Koinggg! LOL!

  • well done man, ive never seen the extended version..thanks for that

  • WOW! Great footage,I saw the movie at the theatre with my folks.

One of the best movies of the era.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • a historical work of art as well as was the second one before they cut out the corrupt state cop scene.

  • Ok that was great! And the "CLANG" at the end was what totally sold it!

  • thats amazing footage in the end and the scenes never seen before--i heard, some were really hurt -way after the production stopped..thanks for posting--another billy movie worth seeing is bornl o s e r s

  • Tom was a good actor but the others around him were horrible. Geeze, that chick who played Jean was the worst! Fun movie to watch, though...

  • this movie sucked, but billy jack the character rocked!

  • yea its han bong soo who is in the trial of billy jack.

  • i grew up with this movie ... thought tom laughlin was a bad ass...till i got the dvd and could freeze frame the kick.... its not him kicking the guy its a asian stunt man

  • Yep, It's Hapkido Master Bong Soo Han

  • what the US govt needs now is Billy Jack

  • Man on man, I have not seen this in years. Great stuff, the good days.

  • my man billy j!

  • Awesome!

  • billy jack vs chuck norris

  • Lauglin said chuck norris and clint eastwood are billy come latelys but chuck norris won a lot of trophys in karate tournaments .

  • Remember, this was the 70s,... There were some some good movies, .. n some crap. But hey, this is a damn good movie without the new CGI..

  • I remember watching this in theatres too. Cool movie at the time. I also watch Bruce lee in films after. You can watch many of the older films many times. You know how old they are but they were new and fresh at the time. Great memories and cool sound track too. YOu can find it on the Bjack..com..if interestd. They had attempted at REMAKE of this movie but things fell through. Im not sure why. Best of luck and hoping it does get a much deserved remake. Keep the peace!!

  • Tom Laughlin is still trying to raise money to shoot yet another sequel, according to his website. I sense that it's not going too well, though- he's been trying to attract investors for quite a while now. An actual re-make/reboot of Billy Jack would be great, but I don't think that's quite what he has in mind, unfortunately. And for a re-make to really work, he'd be best off entrusting it to another director, which is probably something he'd be unwilling to do.

  • A guy named Tom W. use to live here always pulled his shoes off and was ready to kick a-- He thought he was Billy Jack. This poor guy that looked like benard used to work for him.He would slap him around just kidding. He was really a good person he is gone to the promiseland now .Thank's for the entertantment Tom. Miss you man.

  • I hope he's not kicking ass while in heaven- they may frown on that sort of thing up there.

  • I wouldn't take the time to remove my boots in a street fight.... but it does make a big difference in power and placement removing them. If you look at the movie carefully, he didn't just remove his boots to fight: he lead his enemies around to a position where he could use his advantage the most.

Given a choice, I would fight barefoot, but not in a rocky glass ridden parking lot.

  • some of the worst scenes ever, a product of the age I guess. Now, someone would just shoot him instead of charging him one at a time...

  • But at the time, in the early 70s when I saw the movie the first time, it really worked. Keep in mind that Billy Jack pre-dates all the martial arts films, and that Han Bong-Soo was a Hapkido expert, not a movie fight choreographer. I don't even think that movie "fight choreographer" was a job that existed at the time.

But yeah, if the bad guys had rushed him all at once, which would have been the sensible and realistic thing to do, it would have been a much different scene.

  • I always figured they didn't rush because they were scared. I've seen guys fall over eachother and lock up, even if numbers were on their side, simply because they didn't have experience of fighting as a unit. They didn't know how to rush at once without getting in eachother's way.

That's how i figure it, at least.

  • This is so much better than the way this scene appeared in the movie. I can't understand why they left so much martial arts action on the cutting room floor. I guess they wanted to make room for more crappy folk songs and hippie "psychodramas". Bong Soo Han was great though, he should have been the next Bruce Lee. I think having his name attached to the Billy Jack movies killed his career.

  • Han became famous in the United States due to his work in the Billy Jack films. Those movies also introduced Hapkido to the West.

But you're right- there is so much feeble guitar playing and other stuff that should have been edited out of the movie, and so much of Han Bong-Soo's work that could have been added.

  • I actually kind of like the Hippy Love and Peace with Sunshine and Puppies and Flowers and Kittens and Happy Happy Joy Joy trees.

This dual-nature of the film is one of the things I always liked about it. Sure, it would be nice if the world was perfect, but there is no place like that, so the world needs men like Billy Jack.

the world needs both. Men like Billy Jack, and the people at the school to give them something worth fighting for.

  • Luved his movies. I wish he would have done more. He was such a wasted talent, its a shame he didn't go on to do more Billy Jack movies sequels. He did make a western in the early 70s called the "Last Gunfighter" I think. It wasn't bad.

  • in true multiple attack, the attackers charge at the same time. i've witnessed this, it involved only girls.

  • I enjoyed that particular fight scene in the movie. I liked the part where he kicks the fat guy on the face now thats confidence I'm gonna kick you on that side of the face I like that. I myself fought 3 guys when I was 13 it was the first time I felt confidence in my martial arts ability. Haven't been jumped like that since then hope it never happens either.

  • I was last in a fight in grade 3, over 40 years ago. I also hope it never happens again. I like to think that I have retired from fighting undefeated.

The fight in the park, preceded by the ice cream shop scene, was probably the best sequence in the Billy Jack movie.

I saw it in the theatre, and when Billy drove up and stepped out of his Jeep in the background, we all cheered.

  • The whole park fight scene was done by a Korean Martial Arts Master Bong so Han. Look close and you can see his face. Billy Jack is a fraud...

  • Tom Laughlin gives full acknowledgement to Bong Soo Han, as he came to be known in the US, in the movie's credits. The Billy Jack movie served as an introduction of Hapkido to the west. Han had a co-starring role in the Billy Jack sequel.

Billy Jack, and Tom Laughlin, are absolutely genuine- a fraud by no means. It was the Billy Jack movies which introduced and elevated the prominence of hapkido, and of Han Bong Soo.

  • I studied under Lloyd Garcia who told me the were both students of Soo. Im not sure of the details, but Lloyd was a a friend, an honest man and world champion in 3 weight classes. Told me what he was teaching me was the same art from the movie born losers. Hap-Ki-do(Korean) translated means the same thing in English as Jujitsu-Japan/. Google it!

  • Rule #1 of a Hollywood fight - if you land in water (1:12), you're out of the fight.

  • your sound effects were so obvious but i did like the gong to the head...lol

  • The random flying kick in the air to no one was incredible

  • just kicking some REDNECK ass!!!!!

  • OMG, I love this vid...I am going to order the box set too..only, not the autographed copy..TOM is asking way too much money for stuff that he autographs. That is sooo not cool to treat his fans like that. But I am a Billy Jack fan, so I wil order the reasonably priced box set. Thanks for posting this.

  • Wow! I'll bet he could really have done that if he were fighting 15 guys. I wonder why they only attacked 1 at a time? Very realistic!

  • I've watched enough martial arts movies to know that crowds of bad guys always patiently wait to attack one at a time. Some of them even just stand around, waiting to be kicked. I don't know why crowds of bad guys continue to use this feeble strategy, but according to my movie research, they do.

  • The Steven Seagal movie "Marked for death" shows why multiple attackers are bad, haha... they get iin each other's way... atleast in a movie perspective. Working Security I have once had a confrontation with three guys, and for some reason two just stood around while one attacked... they must have watched Billy Jack.

  • MAYBE ITS JUST A MOVIE ?????

  • Billy Jack in this movie is playing a little game with his fighting called CLOCK. Tom Laughlin the guy who played Billy Jack in the movie was taught Tae Kwan Do at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion SD buy a little Korean dude named Dollar...I met him several times he was a good teacher

  • It was Hopkido

  • Wow...this was like an unexpected Christmas gift. One of my all time favorite movies. I loved this scene (especially the extended version). Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for watching, Michlimania! One of my all time favorite movies also.

And by the way, I hope that you realize that the Stanley Cup will be returning to Toronto where it belongs.

    Eventually.

  • You're welcome.

The Stanley Cup will be back in Toronto when Chris Draper (his hometown) takes it back there again! Lol!!!

  • everything is coming to philadelphia this time around...

  • I deeply appreciate your response to my comments. It is readily apparent to me that you have the same devotion to Billy Jack movies that I have. Please contiuue to provide more videos like this. My best regards.

  • A beautifuly edited vesion of all those great fight scenes that I have watched so many times over the years. My kudos and thanks.

  • Many thanks for the kind words, pzs441969! I'm just hoping that if Tom Laughlin ever sees this video, he'll approve also.

Otherwise, just for the hell of it, he might take his right foot...

  • Billy Jack is a classic movie character, and a classic movie.

  • Right on Ian, I always loved this movie and indeed have a VHS tape of Billy Jack! I'm impressed at the sound effects you added to this footage ..Right on man

    Rob

  • Thanks, Rob.

Selecting, trimming & organizing these silent clips, then finding and adding all the sound effects was a lot of work but a labour of love because, like you, I have many fond memories of Billy Jack. It was powerful stuff when we first watched it at the local theatre.

  • this was 1 of my dad's fav. movie

  • 1:24 "fuck it, dude... let's go bowling"

    HAH!

  • From "The Big Lebowski." Well spotted!

  • i had beer coming out my nose, man. FUCK! that was funny.

  • I remember seeing this as a teenager in the 70's

  • After watching this movie as a kid, I took up Hapkido and rode throughout the west killing Indians, until someone explained the point of the movie to me, which I apparently missed. After that my son married a girl from Ottawa tribe and made piece. Now I'm paying off my reparations in babysitting. (say, wasn't there a Chief named "Sitting Baby" at Wounded Knee?) In any event, I got a kick out of the video. (heh heh, see what I did there? kick. get it?)
