I don't understand the thought behind this. Most work injuries of the upper back are do to postural stress and a stretch weakness of the traps and rhomboids. Don't you want to strengthen - not stretch?

@docjones199 :: Both actually, strength counters tense muscles but if distressed muscles aren't flexible then the strengthening can actually make things worse. The spine is terribly prone to misalignment so flexibility is key to allowing it to remain in its proper shape when muscles are relaxed.
