Your dps can be higher then any1 else in the raid or party without having aggro. There are some ways to lower your own threat and tanks have increased threat because of defensive stance, high-threat abilities, righteous defender (or something :p), frost presence for Dk's, ...

A) You didn't let the tank even get a few sunders off before you attacked. B) You feigned death WAY too late. Should have feigned death sooner and stopped all dps and told the tank to get some damn sunders up and maybe taunt. Sure the tank is not the best as he should have had 5 sunders up by the time you took aggro but you could have prevented your death by feigning sooner and stopping all dps till tank grabbed aggro again.
i have never had any one pull aggro from me on my prot. warrior..unless they attack before me and then just went all out on it after that. or unless they attack right when i do and then go all out.. or he might have been a bad tank and just trying to build lazy aggro. think he can make it up later
Epic fail hunter, freeze the add when it comes to you and FD to drop aggro from boss. You have alot of guts putting this video up. Whether the tank was 70 or not pulling aggro is retarded.

Umm Feign death she still would have died... Seems to me like you don't even play a hunter and never have. Feign doesn't stop you from getting hit by an aoe spell...
Once you pull aggro off a tank they have a hard time picking it back up. They NEED to be able to hit in order to keep up the rage regeneration they need in order to use their abilities. Take that away and there's a good chance they won't have the rage to re-gain the target.... so it doesn't matter if he's level 70, he still can't hold aggro if you open up and take it from the get-go.

You didn't use a lot of your abilities. You didn't have an aspect on. You didn't use feign death. Look up a hunter tutorial. Start at "What is a hunter?"
Man, i agree with a lot of comments here, the tank does not suck, you just have to learn how to not pull aggro (FD works perfectly) and do not use Aimed Shot, it's just waste in battles like that. And you should use stings and Steady Shot too.
I've actually had this problem with the lower instances when i tank also. The problem isn't the tank, warriors at lvl 70 cant get that much rage at lvl 70 (becuase they dodge, parry, all that stuff too much) so we cant cast our threat spells as often D=.
I'd just like to mention to anyone who says this guy is hard to tank, if your a Warrior just stand back and spell reflect his Shadow Bolts and you'll easily hold aggro and get in a few shots from bow/gun or thrown. God its not hard to stand there, take a Shadow Bolt hit, Reflect one and repeat. I held the aggro of a T5 Hunter with me in Heroic gear only by doing that.
First of all, if hes 70 it can turn out to be a problem generating enough rage for him to be able to hold the boss properly.. Though im not at all saying its not possible, he might just suck as you say.
Secondly, how about you stop clicking ur abilities and bind some hotkeys, then you would be able to FD in time.. or better yet, use it after a few shots into the fight to wipe agro, just in case the tank sucks..
Umm you don't need a Tank for this boss.. on Normal or Heroic... any Ranged DPS and be the tank.. cause he just stand there and Shadowbolt. Just stay away from eachother and watch that Aura he casts.. that Aura turns you into a walking bomb pretty much
I have done this boss with a Warlock and Mage tank before.. he is pretty easy
Ok I am a 70 prot warrior, not the best and I can easily say the fault is not the tanks......there is so much rage starvation tanking lower instances that it is actually genuinly hard to generate threat, his spec isn't the best but meh.
what b0001235 had said was that if your tank gets flipped into the air his aggro is wiped. Also as people have said you and other dps never do their job of watching aggro and are always too late to dump it....please learn how to manage aggro properly.

As a guilds MT, we don't raid or instance without KTM running otherwise the player gets binned from the group...
I very rarely have issues with any ranged dps in my groups save the odd super-crit catching a lock or mage out but then its my job to catch the mob and unlike other tanking classes... I got Growl lol

1. Aimed Shot resets your Auto-Shot timer. I realize you didn't have Steady shot at the time, but you're still screwing up your rotation.
2. Feign Death. (mind you, it helps to do this BEFORE he casts at you)

4. Pet Offtank the add, so you can Wing Clip/Kite it around and kill it. After watching your DPS output on the boss, the rest of the group wouldn't have missed it anyways.

Should have feigned death sooner and stopped all dps and told the tank to get some damn sunders up and maybe taunt. Sure the tank is not the best as he should have had 5 sunders up by the time you took aggro but you could have prevented your death by feigning sooner and stopping all dps till tank grabbed aggro again.

i have never had any one pull aggro from me on my prot. warrior..unless they attack before me and then just went all out on it after that. or unless they attack right when i do and then go all out.. or he might have been a bad tank and just trying to build lazy aggro. think he can make it up later

Once you pull aggro off a tank they have a hard time picking it back up. They NEED to be able to hit in order to keep up the rage regeneration they need in order to use their abilities. Take that away and there's a good chance they won't have the rage to re-gain the target.... so it doesn't matter if he's level 70, he still can't hold aggro if you open up and take it from the get-go.

Man, i agree with a lot of comments here, the tank does not suck, you just have to learn how to not pull aggro (FD works perfectly) and do not use Aimed Shot, it's just waste in battles like that. And you should use stings and Steady Shot too.

I've actually had this problem with the lower instances when i tank also. The problem isn't the tank, warriors at lvl 70 cant get that much rage at lvl 70 (becuase they dodge, parry, all that stuff too much) so we cant cast our threat spells as often D=.

I'd just like to mention to anyone who says this guy is hard to tank, if your a Warrior just stand back and spell reflect his Shadow Bolts and you'll easily hold aggro and get in a few shots from bow/gun or thrown. God its not hard to stand there, take a Shadow Bolt hit, Reflect one and repeat. I held the aggro of a T5 Hunter with me in Heroic gear only by doing that.

First of all, if hes 70 it can turn out to be a problem generating enough rage for him to be able to hold the boss properly.. Though im not at all saying its not possible, he might just suck as you say.
Secondly, how about you stop clicking ur abilities and bind some hotkeys, then you would be able to FD in time.. or better yet, use it after a few shots into the fight to wipe agro, just in case the tank sucks..

Umm you don't need a Tank for this boss.. on Normal or Heroic... any Ranged DPS and be the tank.. cause he just stand there and Shadowbolt. Just stay away from eachother and watch that Aura he casts.. that Aura turns you into a walking bomb pretty much
I have done this boss with a Warlock and Mage tank before.. he is pretty easy

Ok I am a 70 prot warrior, not the best and I can easily say the fault is not the tanks......there is so much rage starvation tanking lower instances that it is actually genuinly hard to generate threat, his spec isn't the best but meh.
what b0001235 had said was that if your tank gets flipped into the air his aggro is wiped. Also as people have said you and other dps never do their job of watching aggro and are always too late to dump it....please learn how to manage aggro properly.

As a guilds MT, we don't raid or instance without KTM running otherwise the player gets binned from the group...
I very rarely have issues with any ranged dps in my groups save the odd super-crit catching a lock or mage out but then its my job to catch the mob and unlike other tanking classes... I got Growl lol

1. Aimed Shot resets your Auto-Shot timer. I realize you didn't have Steady shot at the time, but you're still screwing up your rotation.
2. Feign Death. (mind you, it helps to do this BEFORE he casts at you)
3. Traps
4. Pet Offtank the add, so you can Wing Clip/Kite it around and kill it. After watching your DPS output on the boss, the rest of the group wouldn't have missed it anyways.
Please re-roll another class. It's 'Huntards' like you who give the rest of us a bad name.
