  • I remember when my dad had a vhs tape of the birds and this trailer was on there. But kinda different I think that was a long time ago

  • fucking USA fuck you all whaits im black man and im psaycho

  • Me and my best friend watched this trailer, when I get scared I kind of laugh, and I also screamed very loud, but my friend started crying,I thought that she was laughing so i just kept on laughing, then I realized she was crying I laughed even more!!!! She said she was mostly scared cuz i screamed so loud! It was so hilarious!

  • Wow! I can't believe how many people have not seen this movie. It's from 1960. I'd never watch a trailer online before watching the actual movie. Foolish mistake.

  • wow, this goes beyond spoiler.

  • TRAILERS ALWAYS SPOIL!!!!

  • This is such a bad trailer. It basically gives away the twist of the movie.

  • He's Lock Stuped

  • What dopey cunts!!!

Fancy showing Mrs.Bates' corpse to someone who might not have seen the film.

Fucking stupid wankers, ruined it and killed the twist

  • FUCK THIS TRAILER!

I watched this before i watched the movie (as i usually do just to get a sense of what the movies about) and i spent the whole movie knowing she was dead and norman was the killer.

I just missed out on one of the best twist endings in movies history!

  • caption!!

the legendary music of alfred hitchcocks psycho...

    !!!!

  • they could just say "NORMAN DID IT"

    Oh wait, they did

  • The back cover of my DVD says it as well. I tried covering it up with scrap paper.

  • i need 2 see hes films

  • is a true classic, i saw it and was a briliant experience

  • Who would show a trailer with spoilers?

  • psycho is a great movie.

  • God, what an awful trailer.

  • totally agree :) have you seen the one with Alfred Hitchcock showing you around the Bates motel? thats a better one :P

  • I KNOW!!!

    I Mean Showing

    Mrs Bates!?!?

    Spoiler Much?

  • LOL i thoughthe title said"Pervo tycoon"because it was sliced!

  • I first saw this movie when I was in second grade.

I didn't sleep for weeks but I loved it!

  • i saw this trailer before i saw the movie.

  • there a 4 movies i saw one yesterday on friday the 13th whohohohow :D psycho just attacking

  • best horror movie of all time

  • awe some

  • man...i was afraid forever to take a shower after watching this movie!

  • same here

  • i still am like 2 this day and i saw it 2 years ago!!!! hahahahah for the first two weeks i wouldn't shower without a baseball bat next to me.......it was interesting

  • I've gotta admit, as much I LOVE this film, this is a TERRIBLE trailer. It completely gives away the plot-twist!

  • her scream is funny :)

  • you're too stupid to watch that kind of movie it's time to grow up.isn't it?

  • nope. Actually one of the best horror films ever. Its got great acting, great photography, one of the best plot-twists film has ever seen, and on top of all that it has a PHENOMINAL music score, which has influenced music in film so much that if you imitate the sound of the violins from the shower scene, people who havnt even seen, or heard of the film will recognise it.

Unfortunately now a horror film just has to have exsessive amounts of blood...which isnt actually scary.

  • Why did they show the ending?

  • Hitch taught uss that ordinary things, just like knives, scarfs, scissors, birds etc. can be horrible things.

I think that Psycho was film about sexual repressions, ostracism and sexual fears and the consequences of that. And even the hype of sexual liberalism this issue might be very actual even modern times. That's why this film has something to tell also to modern people. Just thinking about the latest school shootings all over the world.

    This is masterpiece. No doubt.

  • this film is excelent! i love it. it's not scary at all. the only scary part is when the old lady turns around and she's a skeleton. but this movie is great!!! kids at the age of 10 or 9 or even 8 could probbably see phsyco. umm.. well.... probbably not cuz this movie is pretty violet. ecpecaily the part were he stabbs this guy in the face and he falls down the stairs

  • 31 that's ok.

  • i wish they could get this in color. that way it will destroy friday the 13th, and a nightmare on elm street.

  • never seen this trailer, but uhh why they show the ending lol

  • i was 6 when i saw it and it scared the shit out of me.

  • I've got the violin theme tune thingy on my phone and I'm gonna play a joke on my friend tomorrow!

  • I watched that movie about 5 years ago...

And ever since then I lock the door when I take a shower O_O

Scarred me for life xD But a great movie nonetheless!

  • Awesome twisted -*-

I like black and white version

    and Norman haha

    he's cute when he's normal.

    But norman is not normal

    sad

  • english*

  • did you guys now that the actress getting "killed" in this scene was traumatized and could never take a normal shower ever again?

my nglish teacher told me that

  • I think you're English teacher might have been having you on.. -_-

I study film studies so I actually do know about this.. Sorry but you are wrong xD

  • lol

    oh well :p

  • Great movie.

  • they gave away the ending!

  • I'm so glad they never colorized the original. It would be like painting eyebrows on the Mona Lisa. Some masterpieces should remain untampered with.

  • does dis movie have a happy endingin it or not?

  • kind of

  • Mr.s bates

  • do you know how they got the sound for stabbing in the shower scene? They used a frozen fish and stabbed it! That's brillant i would have never thought of that if i was a director. this guy is brillant!!

  • actually no they used a melon (think it was a honeydew) and the blood was chocolate syrup

  • that sounds like night of the living dead lol....gotta luv great old movies

  • Umm, the sound was violens

  • omg a classic, alfred hitchcock is a genious! old but very VERY well done :) love the movie

  • this is a old movie

  • i watched it the other day and i loved it !

  • It is perfectly natural a son loves his mother.

  • "Nothing can match the shock of the original Psycho"

Oh really? Well, the ending was ruined in the trailer... so...

  • this obviously isnt the original trailer because it says "nothing can match the 'original' psycho". i imagine it was used on its release to vhs or similar

  • That scene when Mrs Bates chair swings around scared me so much...you are totally unprepared for it...I LOVE IT...I didn't know nything before I watched it first so it all caught me off guard...fave movie of all time!!

BTW I DON'T THINK THIS IS THE REAL TRAILER.....Hitchcock would never allow so many plot lines to be revealed as someone below me said!!!!

  • Can someone please upload this movie on youtube??

  • this is yahoo, isnt it?

  • it did give away too much.

    hitchcock wouldnt allow it.

he made everyone who worked with him on this film take a vow of silence.

if i had seen this before I saw the movie, it would have taken out the horror.

  • when i saw this movie the first time it was SO COOL!!! and now i have seen it about more than 10 times but this never gets old!!!

  • i love this movie!

but when was this trailer made?

    it gave away too much.

  • awesome movie! so original! it's like movies nowadays just copy it and the shining (and those crappy and freaky korean ones). there's hardly anything original now..

  • i heard this movie was freaky

  • u heard right

  • i love the movie, the director, the music...

    it's a real classic!

  • I was 11 years old when I first saw the original Psycho, and it sure scared me, and it scared me when I was a teenage, but it doesn't scare me now, but it is still one of my favorite old movies, and I also think that it would scare some kids today like it did me if watching it for the first time, especially if they have never seen slasher movies like "Friday the 13th" or the Freddy Krueger movies first.

  • when i was aroudn 10 years old this was most scary horror movie what i had seen :(

  • Could you add a spoiler warning to the synopsis?

  • the movie is nice specially the way it directed but it is not scary any more even in those days i go with dracula, frankenistine and the wolfman as best black and wiht horror movies.

  • i love it

  • This is mostly directed at painman, but I'll go on. If (any of) you were around in 1960, which I doubt, you would find this movie scary. It would appear that you are a youngster that needs to see people getting their intestines ripped out with a fork to give you a "scare." Or maybe perhaps young punks in a camp fucking their brains out only to have their throats slashed by some loser with one eyebrow. Hitchcock was the MASTER of suspense. The "blood" in the shower scene was chocolate syrup.

  • im kind of dissapointed because i cant seem to find a movie that scares me. Ive tried so many, and its so bad that this trailer made me laugh actually. Which afterward dissapoint me.

  • I don't care for this preview. It gives away too much of the movie.

  • even the music scared me

  • I think they shouldve cut the scene where the chair turns around so u dont see the skeleton. if some people havent seen this movie they shouldnt get the greatest shock in movie history (next to the phantom of the opera unmasking scene) taken away.

  • one of the best movies i've ever seen. older movies are so much more decent and worthwhile than amateur crap like amityville horror or SAW. kudos for hitchcock

  • That skeleton scared me

  • havnt seen it but it looks scary

  • I think you should see it coz it's the best movie ever...

But I'm warning you: it IS scary, you're not gonna be able to take a shower without screaming hysterically if someone walks near your bathroom or something moves...

  • If you like the movie read the three Psycho books by Robert Bloch. All three are excellent- The first one Hitchcock based the movie on- book the book is far creepier...

  • this movie is the best classic ever!!

  • should have stopped after this one, all of the others, 2,3, and 4 are terrible.

  • Wrong.

  • I know it's wrong, wrong to make sequals to classic movies instead of leaving well enough alone.

  • Is cursing at me necessary you asshole? I have to have the same opinion as you? Oh I guess so because it's "fuck you" to whoever disagrees with you, am I right? It appears that way. What you just did was uncalled for.

  • Sorry, dude. It just seemed that you were sending a lot of hostility against me.

    That's my opinion.

    That's your opinion.

    Let's leave at that.

  • Okay, all is forgotten.

  • whatever

  • The Mrs. Bates Scene SCARD THE HELL out of me... So right now I'm trying to conquer my fear of dead corpses and by hosting this video, you helped me conquer that fear and I thank you.

  • Does the song creep you out?

  • OMFG THIS MOVIE SCARED THE HELL OUTTA ME WHEN I WAS LITTLE :o!!!
