  • Might the performers be the most entertained ones in the room?

  • MAESTRO, COMO LO EXTRAÑO.......DONDE ANDARAS¡?

  • My Italian great Aunt "Clementine" or Aunt Daisy loved Luciano until he cheated on his wife. Which she would turn her nose down on him. But when i came back into the room she had him back on and singing. She loved her Pavarotti no matter how he kept his personal life. I must say that before Luciano i knew of Caruso. And thought to myself would there be another in my lifetime? I now must say I am blessed to live side by side in my lifetime amongst the greatest singer of all time. He is # 1

  • @justinbieberforking Why should anyone listen to a little boy who could not make a distinction between a major third and a minor seventh? Let alone being able to sing the aforementioned intervals? Beiber is a perfect example of what is wrong with contemporary music; he is a total loser who will NEVER win the audience of the properly educated.

  • No need to wonder if the maestro used auto-tune, in case you don't know... he didn't

  • QUE DICE EN ESPAÑOL?

  • fantastico pavarotti y maravillosa aprile millo......para mi ...y con todos los respetos ......la ultima gran diva.....

  • Pavarotti had a great voice and very beautiful, I just wish he did not tried to be un pagliaccio, he lacked the class of Kraus. Millo FANTASTIC soprano

  • Luciano and Aprile are just great in thid Brindisi!!!!

  • ti adoro luciano!!!!!!!

  • BRAVÓ!!!

  • I think this bleeding chunk should be pronounced deceased

  • che dice big luciano prima di cominciare??

  • Fantastic!

  • Brava Millo!

  • génial , bravo !

  • Grazie per tutto Fratello

  • Luciano Pavarotti and Aprile Millo: PERFECT blend of gorgeous voices and wonderful singing!

  • The greatest without doubt.

  • Certainly in the top 10.

  • Aria, not song.

And here Pavarotti didn't use all of his voice (and anyway he wans't like his best years: 60' - 70').. but I agree with you, this aria (and the Verdi's opera) needs a dramatic voice, so Domingo is better.

But please, don't say anything about this tenor only for criticized, because at his best you can't compare none of other tenor, from present or past..

    RIP maestro Pavarotti!!

  • Music is about you like or not. Art is subjective. I personally like more Domingo in this aria. Everybody has right to say I like or dislike. So I say it again: THIS IS FOR DOMINGO AS FOR PAVAROTTI IS NESSUN DORMA. World has free speech freedom!

  • AlterEgo, Without criticising luciano's singing or voice in any way, - when a pole was taken by the Bel canto society of the greatest tenors of all time, Pavarotti didn't make it into the top ten. If he is your own personal greatest tenor, then fair enough, it is not for me or anyone else to try to question your taste. But by the same token, no individual can decide for everyone else who is the greatest.

  • In that spirit, when the BBC did a poll, Pavarotti came third, besting all other tenors except Caruso and Domingo.

Just further testament to your statement, with a positive view on things.

  • Well, there you go my friend. The fact that Domingo headed the list, shows what a complete nonsense all polls are when it comes to deciding the greatest of them all. People tend to acclaim the most recent tenor they hear as the greatest. Pavarotti has only been dead for 2 years, yet already he is slipping down in peoples estimation. Such is the transience of fame of even the best voices.

  • It all of course boils down to opinion, it doesn't really matter who likes what, I'm sure we are both grateful for the beauty of the art regardless of disalignment in taste.

  • one of my favorite operas simply divine

  • It takes my breathe everythme when i hear it...simply amazing....

  • good bye Maestro

  • Thanks a lot operatribute, for this great video.

  • R.I.P.

  • Aprile Millo looks so much like Bette Midler ...... !

  • wow! grande

  • It seems like the lady in Blue dress don't sing , she looks like talking lol.

  • I wish I understood what they were song

  • search lyrics for;

Brindisi: Libiamo, ne' lieti calici (La traviata - Verdi)

    and you will :D

    gl

  • i dont understand what they say and i am italian so dont worry :P

Pavarotti, u made us italians pride..u will be missed

  • I love Italians!

  • Also, I liked the way she immediately gave a rose to the tenor next to her. Very Classy!

  • Ms. Millo would make a wonderful Violetta. I would love to hear her sing "Addio, Del Passato."

She has the voice and the acting skills to make a truly memorable Violetta.

  • I very much enjoyed Pavarotti's performance, I prefer Joan Sutherland in this role to Millo

  • Yes in the blue is Elizabeth, BRAVA MILLO

  • Is the woman in the blue dress Elizabeth Holleque?

  • Luciano,

    You will be long missed.

  • yes.... she will!!!!!

  • gracias

  • Dio, quanto manchi caro maestro alla musica, con la tua gioia, la tua grinta, la tua voce superlativa.....ti voglio ascoltare e ricordare con un brindisi gioioso...perchè per me sei sempre vivo, in eterno!

  • The woman in blue is really funny. I mean isn't it ridicoulous to sing from such a little sheet of paper?? :))) Pavarotti is God.

  • The woman in blue is really funny. I mean isn't it ridicoulous to sing from such a little sheet of paper?? :))) Pavarotti is God.

  • She doesn't have that many words to sing.

  • That's the point... She can't memorize some words? She must read them from a little piece of paper?

  • beautiful...

  • amzing preformence. i used to hate music like this but this song changed my life to music. i now love opera and classic and i have to say pavarotti was the worlds best singer for music like this. such a shame he died because iv always wanted to see him preforme this live. Dam why couldnt i have been born earlyer!!!! and im only 11 so who ever says dis music is for old men is wrong!!!

  • i agree with you!!! though im 13, but i love opera!!!and i hate all those yo-yo songs!

  • It is really nice to see younger people enjoying opera. What most people, those who don't like opera, don't realize how much work it takes to sing opera. It is the most vocally challenging. I know I am 46 have sung it all.

    chris

  • I'm just starting to sing it, and I would like to learn how to use my voice correctly. Though my parents are against it, I'm going to keep singing. Someday they'll realize that this is not a waist!

  • Your parents are against it! Why? How strange, well at least to me. I am a firm believer that if you learn to do all of the necessary breath control and singing in the right register, you can be trained to sing anything. When I get to around to it I'll be posting vids of opera music. I only have a Norweigian song posted now.

    chris

  • I'll check it out

  • Thank you for the expression "yo you songs". How apt.

  • Congratulations to love opera at 11 ! Opera is neither a matter of old people nor of snob, only of people who like ultimate expression of a human voice abilities. Welcome and drop a lot of comments ! And rummage into the past : here stand the treasures !

  • Absolutely fantastic performance

  • Simplemente es dios

  • This is trav. not Boheme and Elizabeth and Millo are on the stage

  • You probably have Trav. mixed up with Boheme. This is Trav and Millo and Elizabeth are on the stage.

  • Hi Barone, but did you see the post I mean? Pav in concert with Millo and they do act 1 arias and duet from Boheme? Thanks for this info.

  • BARONE,,, The post I am speaking of was NOT OPERA TRIBUTE'S, BUT POSTED BY SOGNO, SO IT WAS MILLO AND IT WAS SENSATIONAL AND WITH PAV IN CONCERT!

  • Then name the sop? Who do you mean? I saw a you tube with Millo singing Mimi (Aria) it was her face and her person singing the aria and duet O' Soave with Pav. but not on this particular post--and she was powerful, wonderful, end of story .

  • THE SOPRANO IS ELIABETH MALEQUOIS (not sure proper spelling last name)

  • Haha, what a pimp! I'm actually nervous about singing in the chorus of Traviata because their part in this song is tricky...

  • Check out Millo with Pav. in the Boheme, Mimi's aria, Fantastic control, she does not power her way through the middle of the aria. The best rendition I ever heard and that includes all the greats, Brava

  • OPERATRIBUTE Made error. That is NOT Aprile Milo. That is why you stated she was powerful as Mimi in Boheme

  • yes it is Millo.

  • BRAVA MILLO

  • 2 legends... love them!!!!

  • Pavorotti is the KING of Opera!

  • He is!!!

  • Verdi operas at least...

  • i love this song... and it is an honor to hear the great LP sing it. that is all i can say... i cried like i always do lol.

  • I don't get what he says in the beginning in English?

  • In the Brindisi Luciano always requests the

audience sing along chorus. He said if you can

sing better than me come up here.. Greatest sense of humor.

IL DIO BENEDICE RESTO NELLA PACE, LUCIANO

  • It was all meant in the spirit of good fun. Enough said.
