can I tan everyday?? at first? like today I went for 4 min and I havent ever tanned in a bed before well in a very long time !!! since I went today should I skip tommorow?

@greeneys19 Once I get a good base tan and start to see color I like to go everyday or every other day. But at first I only go like two to three times a week, spacing out the days I go, the most I'll wait in between is five days.

OOh the place i went to has a royal sun tanning bed, used it today it was amazing even tho it got soo hot int the bed.

@IceKingXxxRS I'm very pale and so I've been going everyday for 10-12 minutes to develope my tan. I think it's okay to go everyday until you are as dark as you want to be but once you are where you want to be it's a good idea to only go about every 3 days.

Tanning beds are So bad for you!! i wouldn't recommend it to ANY1!! ... sun tanning is also bad, but not if you don't sit in the sun for like 3 hours. hehe ;D

@dre1162 You shouldn't but no one is going to stop you from tanning outdoors except your parents, if they have a problem with it.

But most tanning salons will not allow you to tan until you're a certain age and even then, sometimes you need parental permission before you reach the age of majority in your area. I know in my area (Ontario), you CANNOT tan until 14 and even then, you need your parent to take you in and sign a form. After 18, it's up to you to sign the contract.

@daysofinspiration222 I live in Pennsylvania and we kids don't need parental consent at all! We just sign ourselves in and we're in! I walk to the salon by my house every day (I'm only 16 =P)!

@dre1162 Nobody should tan, especially youth. In fact, it is illegal in most states and provinces for young adolescents to use tanning beds without being accompanied by their guardian. Legislation was not passed easily; it took many, many scientific studies showing a link between skin cancer and tanning beds before it was passed.

You don't need to use tanning beds and you certainly don't need the consequences that come with it.
