Ever since she went to WOGA all her routines look like Nastias! They are almost unwatchable. Boring!

she stuck the dismount about 2 minutes before this, so they did sort the dismount out before worlds, she only fell because of the problem with the pirouette lol :)

she qualified for bars event??? that makes NO sense if she woulld've performed this routine at 2007 worlds she woulden't be qualifying. This worlds is just a joke!!

This is prelims. So no, she didn't qualify. Bross and Sloan went on to compete in UB finals.

jana bieger would be an option in my mind. she has more experience and is better on bars than ivana.

Did you not see Jana at US Classic and USA's? She was a disaster.

I know. I think most knowledgeable gym fans are happy Jana Bieger wasn't on the World Team. BTW, Hong won the bronze on beam. Looks like she was a good choice after all.

Ivana being selected to perform on bars for individual worlds makes no sense to me. in fact I don't really understand why she is there. Yes she is a good all around gymnast and she would be great on a 6 person team. However she doesn't stand out on any events really and this is her worst one. It really makes zero sense, especially to have her do bars.

I was surprised that they had her just doing bars and beam too...I don't think Marta wanted her to compete all 4 events bc she wanted Sloan and Bross to qualify for the AA... I'm thinking she's there for the international experience. She probably had a shot at a medal on beam though.

Others from the US team could have done just as good or BETTER on beam than Ivana. Her bronze here is nice thats about it.

that was really too bad. i knew she didn't have a great chance of making finals, but i still wanted her to do well.

If she hadn't had the major break on the pirouette and hadn't put her hand down on the dismount, she probably would have qualified to the final ahead of Sloan. Under any other circumstances she wouldn't have ever made the final, but this year, she really could have.

...That's not saying a ton.
