  • No it doesnt. I followed this tutorial exactly, and still nothing. All the circuitry is present and correct, yet when i press the button, no sound comes out.

  • @Vaan43579 could you tell me what u have placed the noteblocks on top of? as in what block have you placed them on?

  • @MrMrDGamer Yes. I placed them on stone, then realised that didnt work and moved the whole thing over to a nearby flat area maed entirely of grass.

  • @Vaan43579 well then i dunno, it seems to work for some and not for others :/

  • @MrMrDGamer perhaps you could make a new video that shows you making this song in 1.2?

  • This doesn't work in 1.2

  • @Vaan43579 Yes it does...

  • It's awesome

  • That is so awesome just like his texture pack

  • @Templarfknights Thankyou ;)

  • thanks

  • God that texture pack.

  • Thanks for the tutorial! It works really well! It would be awesome if my friends on my server knew what it was. Even better if it was not laggy so I could actually hear it well. Haven't tried it on my singleplayer world yet.

  • @1989Excalibur yeah that is a problem with multiplayer, it makes it lag :(

  • This works as of 1.1.

  • Ew i hate that texture pack when i saw the repeater :P try tooncraft

  • Doesn't work.

  • @Fallout3FatCat as i have said before it might be because of the updates, this video was posted when minecraft was in beta 1.4_01 or it could also be the blocks you have placed the noteblock above, as in the noteblocks have to be placed either on top of air (floating) or grass, so if it is above something else it may not work, but as i have said i'm not sure if it works anymore as i do not have the save file anymore

  • @MrMrDGamer Sorry, I realised I accidentally fucked up with a repeater, I got it working and after making the repeaters at different times it works perfectly :D

    Great vid.

  • @Fallout3FatCat nice glad you got it working

  • cool and nice job BTW did you figure this out on ur own???

  • @Blufire60 yes i did

  • it should be faster

  • its not working for me and it is exactly the same as this

  • @crazysymbols as i have said before it might be because of the updates, this video was posted when minecraft was in beta 1.4_01 or it could also be the blocks you have placed the noteblock above, as in the noteblocks have to be placed either on top of air (floating) or grass, so if it is above something else it may not work, but as i have said i'm not sure if it works anymore as i do not have the save file anymore

  • @MrMrDGamer I like how you literally copy and pasted the two responses XD

    Efficiency!

  • @1989Excalibur lol it just because im tired of people just commenting without checking out other comments which may help them. :P

  • EPIC thanks

  • Mushroopeater!

  • Nice but if you had sunk the note block one into the ground you could have saved yourself quite a bit of space and redstone

  • im gonna make tons of secret rooms with this on serveral servers and ima put a sign with this video's link at the end of it :D

  • @Rageofheavenandh awesome thanks :D

  • Blocks note hits.

    13 12 9 3 2 10 14 18 Thumbs so people can see :D

  • i have an idea how about twilight princess- Midna's desperite hour for a tune

  • @DeattoZombie sure i'll check it out and get back to you :D

  • @DeattoZombie oh mai gawd YES YES YES

  • @DeattoZombie You can't make that in minecraft because some of the notes go above MineCraft 2 octave limit.

  • Pretty sure the actual thing is 10 notes...

  • @iatelilwayne dont think so. Might be XD

  • @iatelilwayne nope

  • mine doesnt work

  • that texture pack made want to kick a small animal in the face

  • @jpcod5 Good for you

  • @jpcod5 That's the painterly pack.

  • @MrScevity im sorry but its ugly. sorry.

  • the texture pack made me want to vomit.

  • @amname654 ummmm rude.....

  • @amname654 You may not like his because of your opinion, but the painterly pack has hundreds of options.

  • Comment removed

  • and the left side was for?

  • @TeamLGiT1 Me being a dumb (I literally just started Note block things when i made this)

  • haha nice, and still very much valid ;) Thumbs up!

  • @Eqvaliser Thanks alot :D

  • work perfectly. Now i have the perfect door bell. :D

  • @TTTEproductions Good to know :D

  • thank you! :D love it, and it works in 1.0.0

  • @runzwsissors what???? how is it fake???

  • @MrMrDGamer i think he's kidding

  • @runzwsissors how is it fake?

  • @runzwsissors Mate you mums boobies are fake this video is real dick

  • @callum563 XD

  • @callum563 -_- kids when will they ever grow up

  • @runzwsissors Haha your comment is like a total fail...

  • Thanks so much everyone for almost 24,000 views :O i will try to upload more soon and sorry for the lack of it recently :(

  • can u make a tutorial on the zelda theme song

  • can you plese make a tut on lost woods

  • @wasd1623

You have to be within a certain amount of blocks away from it to hear it.

  • it doesnt work like this in 1.0.0

  • @iamironman320 sorry about that, MrSparksBFKG who is the comment before you apparently has a solution :D

  • Hey i figured out how to fix it in MineCraft 1.0 instead of putting a block in between the repeater put dirt and a noteblock on top

  • i made it my doorbell but i can not hear it (im not deaf)

  • What a shit texture pack

  • @ScratchedTrucks why thankyou

  • @MrMrDGamer All texture packs aside, good video!

  • @ScratchedTrucks thanks, recently i have just been abused by people in the comments XD kinda funny

  • @ScratchedTrucks I love painterly :(

  • @CustomWeapon yey XD

  • @ScratchedTrucks I like it :D

  • @SoundOfElectroMusic1 YEY THERE IS SOMEONE ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @ScratchedTrucks The painterly pack is awesome, if you don't like the textures he was using, there are about a thousand others.

  • @JaysonBeeBuzz thanks :D

  • @MrMrDGamer I found out what was wrong. I have to do it on grass, not stone lol.

  • @UglamothPWNZOR lol glad it got fixed :D

  • There's such an easier way to do this...

  • @SWATBlizzard and if you read my previous comments you would notice that i have already said that.......

  • @MrMrDGamer If you were smart enough you would notice that I am able to respond with anything I wish. I apologize for liking your video. Dick.

  • @SWATBlizzard ummmmm ok?

  • I think the problem of 1.0.0 is, that when radstone isn't connected, it isn't a cross like before. now it is a small circle (sry for my bad english)

  • @legofan431 lol

  • @MrMrDGamer I did this on the 1.0.0 version and it is like ur hitting a block no tune. WTF? Is there a way I can change this? Reply ASAP plz.

  • @UglamothPWNZOR im sorry im not sure, some of my other songs i made before 1.0.0 are also not working, maybe there was an update to the redstone wiring or something? sorry i couldnt be of more help

  • Song, zelda theme, I.E. OOT running around, outside castle town, Death mountain, or any other place, just the Hyrule field.

  • this is my new doorbell.

  • @12ZELDALINK :D

  • @MrMrDGamer btw, you dont need the redstone on the opposite side from the note blocks.

  • @12ZELDALINK this was when i was a dumb :D (well i still am but now i am less of a dumb)

  • @MrMrDGamer Ur nt a dumb, u just are new.

  • @12ZELDALINK lol thanks XD

  • I love Zelda and Minecraft, so this is great!!

  • Dear Person who made this.

In my minecraft (beta 1.8.1) it doesn't make the actual song, but instead weird clicking sounds that are really annoying. I followed instructions but I don't see where I went wrong. Any advice?

  • @Cloud1UP i think it is the surface you are on (if it is on sand i think it makes ticks if i remember lol), change the material under the note blocks to either grass or just air (no blocks under it) if that doesnt work feel free to ask me again :D

  • @MrMrDGamer

Thanks for the help. I tried and you were right. It doesnt make the ticking, clicking sound. I'm making a big dungeon modeled after Zelda and I'm going to make alot of these.

  • @Cloud1UP glad it works, let me know how the dungeon turns out :D

  • @Cloud1UP Are your noteblocks on grass?

  • thanks

  • @ayde7771 welcome :D

  • does it work in 1.8.1??

  • @MrAxeens well it still works for me ;)

  • when you click the repeaters after u place the notes click them in this order

    1-3 no click

    4 1 click

    5 no click

    6 1 click

    7 1 click

    8 no click

it sounds like the real thing

  • my first sound block project...thanks :)

  • this is going to be my new doorbell. :)

  • i did this, and using the help of a few pistons i made it to where when you press a button a door opens and then it makes that noise

  • my note boxes only make a weird click

  • @MrMrnerfman change the block underneath the noteblock :D

  • @JakeKamo thanks

  • @MrMrnerfman Put them on dirt. That way they'll make a piano sound. Sand makes drum sounds and wood makes guitar sounds.

  • @AndrewMac115 thanks

  • thumbs up if you went to minecraft right after seeing this to test it out!

  • can you make a tetris song? pls :D

  • @TheSonicWerehog ummmm ill try lol

  • can u make A-Team Theme pls :D

  • @Hunt3r2k i can try lol :D

  • you dear sir... have made my wip custom map more awesome

  • @futrevdogmetster indeed, indeed i have ;)

  • thank you!

  • the switches on the redstone repeaters look like boobs

  • @lancea34 *slow clap*

  • 100% epic

  • THANK U SOO MUCH! <33

  • @RollyCanolly you sir are correct ;)

  • on the other side do it backwards :D

  • Thanks everyone for 5.5k views :D

  • 13 12 9 3 2 10 14 18

  • what's the point of all the blocks covered in redstone?

  • @AdamFSmith lol this was before i knew that you didnt need the top 2 blocks, i am a complete noob :D

  • Why does this have so little views?

  • @MrFdegier lol because it is quite a bad video and its not exactly the hardest thing to do lol ;)

  • THANK YOU :) it awsome.

  • dude you awesome!!

  • @kennygamer123 thanks lol :D

  • @MrMrDGamer do you have a server? i could join privet messege me the ip if so

  • @MrMrDGamer i subscribed liked and favorited yay

  • Super mario world theme tutorial please!!

  • This is not a secret sound. this is piano and not secret. so why are the title how to make Secret sound?

    tell me...

  • @dennan98 because this is the sound which plays when you find a secret room in zelda, hence "secret sound" hope that clears that up

  • @MrMrDGamer oh. when I search this video was named Minecraft - How To Make Secret Sound but in the video window Minecraft - How To Make Zelda Secret Sound. sorry for that.

  • @dennan98 no problem :D

  • texure pack please BTW awesome tut

  • nice texture pack =D

    thumbs up lets do this!

  • Thanks!

  • does it matter what you put under the noteblock?

  • @sheahan0 yes the block under it changes the instrument, for piano either have an open air block or grass block. Hope this helps

  • thats my new dorrbeell!:D

  • @beastie244 lol glad you like it

  • i wold like you to make the zelda song when you break a block

  • @assholebichit Got an idea for that.

If it is for removing a block to uncover a secret, you can put a pressure plate under the passage that is connected to the blocks. When you remove the block the items fall on the plate and the sound is heard.

Hope this helps or gives inspiration :)

  • nice

  • Thankyou!!

  • @Mysticalzelda no problem :)

  • Nice man, i use it on my the server i go on :)

  • woooot? new redstone torches at painterly? i,ll be back ...

  • @TiTanAEfull lol

  • Thanks I used all four blocks on the side and it sounds great for my hidden base

  • @TheFunkyHomasapian Cool glad you liked it

  • If you were playing in a real world and you needed to compact it or not waste resources, you only need the blocks in the middle row, you don't need and of the floating blocks or any of the blocks on the left side. Still a really good tutorial though

  • @iiF3V3RzXD thanks and yeh i know lol i was just testing it and posted this for people who want to know
