David...I loved to see that on record brother. Why don't you try it, I will be the first fan of yours to buy the record. God bless you my friend and more power to you.
Thanks! I've got a modern rockabilly song that I'm working on right now that ought to be more "down your alley". It has a rhythm riff that just smokes!!
Thanks for believing that I can do a lot of stuff. Its like you say- I do try to do my very best.
Thank you for checking this out, Shirley. Your comment means a lot to me. I'm glad that it sounds pleasing to the ear. If people can't get past the sound of a song, they won't listen to the words.
Thanks. I think the vocal's a little stronger and less Southern accented (lol) than some of my older ones. I'm always trying to progress. Stay awesome! I am always blown away by your talent and sincerity of performance. You rock!
I can always count on you to give me a good, constructive, but honest view of my work. That is a good thing. I notice that my songs are getting "lighter"...a lot of the heavy-topic songs are the older ones. I'm fairly proud of all the songs I've been given that I've posted on YouTube, but I am glad that the newer ones are a little more upbeat. As Vince Gill learned, you can hand the public only so much heartache before it starts to get old...
Yes it is. Relationships can be tough. I don't know what kind of breakup the character in this song is referring to, to be honest. I wanted it to kind of be like the old Ronnie Milsap song...just to see if I could write something like that and be convincing.
Beautiful song, nice job!

Really? I am always surprised when people compliment my singing. Thank you, I've been trying to improve some things about my vocals.
The song works. I must admit, I never dreamed that I'd write one like this, but it all started with a chorus and just grew from there.

That song came out of a fire alarm tone at work. I kid you not, the alarm was in the same key as this song and I heard the song in the fire alarm.

Oops! Didn't mean it to! hahahaha I kinda thought it was sort of like Ronnie Milsap's old hit, "There Ain't No Getting Over Me".
Guess what? Somebody else would like me to do a CCR song like you wanted me to do. Funny, huh?
Thanks for the review, btw. Good to hear from you.
