this is not to the point, people with anti social personality disorder is very diffrent from someone exhibiting sociopathic symptoms for example someone with a sociopath disorder is more like the girl at the end of the film laughing she lack any sense of self for her sake and for his she is power angry and seeks for others to help her forfill her goals. You guys did do a nice job though next time just do some more research then make a film
I hate to say this to you guys. I'm sorry to say that your acting was lousy, but I do have the point & facts from you as to though what this disorder is. Thanks.
Anti-social personality disorder would fly N2 a rage. When they don't get their way or U disagree with them they go nuts. They usually have one lie ready to manipulate U, maybe 2, but if U present facts they will go postal. Stay away from them. Start screaming help, they R trying 2 kill me....because they are!!! Then they will act like nothing happened, & flip the lie around on U. They"ll say, Oh No! It was them that was trying to kill me. When U ask them personal questions, no answer.
I consider myself anti-social, but only outside of work. At the office, I socialize, because it's required. Do I believe I "suffer" from a disorder? Hell no! You can believe all the scientific explanations, but it's my choice.
Do I "hate" people? No!
I'm just tired of sharing thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc. with others. I rely only on myself to survive.
BTW, Technology is affecting the way people socialize daily. Eventually, people won't need to talk face to face...ever!
Technically, a "psychopath" is different from someone with APD since some of the criteria has changed, and APD is a clinical diagnosis while "psychopath" is more of a sociological term at this point.
@PlanetMayhem - Antisocial does not refer to not being a social person. It is an adult (over 18) personality disorder with diagnostic criteria listed in the DSM-IV, and is a cluster of traits revolving around chronic violation of social norms, coupled with a diagnosis or evidence of conduct disorder before age 15.
I think that you're confused about what Antisocial Personality Disorder is. When the term "Antisocial" is used here it has nothing to do with whether or not the person wants to be around other people or not. People with APD often enjoy being around other people, the difference is that people with APD have no real feelings of affection for the peole they're with. People with APD never form deep or lasting relationships with other people.
@actingqween wow i tottally feel like that never went to the doctor, but i dont hate pple there are just weird n different for me n i cant understand that..what u say makes sense i might get some help if how i feel is a personality disorder
I hear you. I, too, resent being labled "antisocial" simply because I'm a loner.
I don't hate people, but when you work for the public 40 hours a week, you need your time away from them.
The way I see it, as long as you harm no one, you should feel free to be alone and rely on yourself if you wish. Nothing wrong with being self sufficient.
i wish i was a psychopath, then i can say whatever i want and hurt who ever i want without remorse or guilt . the conscience gets in the way of your freedom
I never understood. What is a conscience? Do you actually hear a voice telling you not to do things? Wouldn't that mean we are the sane ones and that you are schitzophrenic?
Have you ever got a feeling in your gut, like "I feel like this is a REALLY bad choice I'm making and I shouldn't do it?" THATS's your conscience, not a litte voice...or singing cricket.
The point is LEARNING from the past, so you don't do the same mistakes in the future. If you can't see that, I see no point in continuing this conversation.
Of course I learn things. But emotion in itself does nothing but blind sight you. It holds you back, weighs you down. Maybe if you could really look at yourself, at the stupid things people do out of "love" and whatnot, you'd understand.
And what conversation? We're discussing a matter that really isn't a big deal. People pretend to be things they aren't all the time. What difference does it make if we have to pretend to feel?
Emotion is a drive. It's like a gift, a tool to use for either great good or great evil. To accept one's emotions is to accept one's humanity, and is the true act of strength. To turn away from emotions, and to see them as as weak...it is true that emotions can hold us back at times, but to turn away from them is to turn away from one's humanity: what MAKES us human. We're not perfect. I'm well aware of that. But our imperfections make us one of the greatest miracles the world has ever known.
Me too. I just can't socialize with people that well. Even when I talk to make a conversation which it's over I feel very lonely. Thats probably the reason why I spend most of my life playing video games and being on my computer because I have nothing to do. I don't even go outsife unless I have to go to school or get something I want.

An antisocial disorder is a personality disorder. It's the clinical diagnosis for someone we would term "a psychopath". It's totally different.

You're focusing too much on the term "antisocial" and not enough on the criteria for this disorder which is very severe.

Nice try, though.

I don't really see the point. Cursing the past doesn't do a thing.

People make a fuss over nothing.
