The Coroner's Office and the Police concluded he died of accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He had 2 doctors prescribe the drugs, and he got the prescriptions filled at a pharmacy.
And her bodyguard arrived at the same time as the paramedics, rode up in the elevator with them, and was not allowed into the apartment. He died cause he improperly mixed his meds. Those are the facts as spelled out in the police and medical examiner's reports.

IF you're going to judge people, learn the FACTS first. Mary-Kate Olsen told the masseuse to call 911, then she sent over someone who knew CPR to try to help.

..and..whatever Heath Ledger did was his mistake...but Mary Kate Olsen's mistake is NOT calling 9-1-1 herself immediately when she found out that her friend was not breathing. Actually, the masseuse told NYPD that she went into Heath's room at 3:00pm EST, which makes the time 12 noon in L.A. so it wasn't in the middle of the night when Mary Kate received the phone calls(plural). The other fact is that no call was made to 9-1-1 until 3:26pm But at least 3 phone calls (maybe 4) were made by the masseuse to Mary Kate from 3pm-3:26pm EST. Thats 26 minutes of non action. The paramedics arrived in 7 minutes. While MK's guards took a whole 33 minutes. No brainer call 911!
The masseuse did not immediately think anything was wrong when she entered his room at 3 p.m., only that he was sleeping. When she realized something may be wrong, three phone calls were made to MK Olsen in a 9 minute period, not a 26 minute period. Aother call to her was made once the paramedics got there. Police have estimated that he had died between 1 and 2:45, so it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.
Please keep Mary Kate Olsen off of my emergency call list! None of them, MK Olsen, the masseuse nor the maid called 9-1-1 in over a 20 minute period. Instead there were 3 or 4 phone calls to Mary Kate BEFORE ANY OF THEM called 9-1-1. So shameful.
Actually MK Olsen told the masseuse to call 911, then she had one of her guards go over there cause he knew CPR and might help.
MK Olsen got a call in the middle of the night about something happening 3,000 miles away from her...seems to me she did everything she could to help.
It wasn't a 20 minute period. The maid got in at 3:00pm & didn't even realize anything was wrong til like 10 minutes later. Clearly 9-1-1 is the best option, but when you're scared & worried you're not really thinking straight. And MK was far away, she couldn't have done much else than she did. And as everyone has already said, he was already dead by that time. Sadly, nothing could have been done anyway.

He was in london filming the imaginarium where he caught phneumonia. There is no evidence to prove that Ledger took this medication intending never to wake up, or that Olsen provided him with it.

People would have talked no matter what. If there's an emergency, the general rule is that the first person on the scene [in this case, the masseuse ] calls 911. Most of the time I think it would be safe to say that people value their lives and safety and those of others a little more than they value Hollywood gossip. Reportedly she called the only person she knew on Heath's cell phone speed dial (Olsen) cause she (masseuse) didn't want to get in trouble. It was Olsen who finally convinced her to call 911.

The Coroner's Office and the Police concluded he died of accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He had 2 doctors prescribe the drugs, and he got the prescriptions filled at a pharmacy.
And her bodyguard arrived at the same time as the paramedics, rode up in the elevator with them, and was not allowed into the apartment. He died cause he improperly mixed his meds. Those are the facts as spelled out in the police and medical examiner's reports.

When the masseuse found him in his New york apartment(already deceased), she called the only name on his cell phone she knew, Ms. Olsen's. Ms. Olsen was in California, so there was little she could do. She told masseuse to call 911 and then she called someone she knew in the building who knew CPR.
None of it mattered anyway, cause he was gone when the massuese found him.
Because of all that, silly rumors have spread, since people love rumors and gossip, esp. when someone is dead.

Actually, the masseuse told NYPD that she went into Heath's room at 3:00pm EST, which makes the time 12 noon in L.A. so it wasn't in the middle of the night when Mary Kate received the phone calls(plural). The other fact is that no call was made to 9-1-1 until 3:26pm But at least 3 phone calls (maybe 4) were made by the masseuse to Mary Kate from 3pm-3:26pm EST. Thats 26 minutes of non action. The paramedics arrived in 7 minutes. While MK's guards took a whole 33 minutes. No brainer call 911!

The masseuse did not immediately think anything was wrong when she entered his room at 3 p.m., only that he was sleeping. When she realized something may be wrong, three phone calls were made to MK Olsen in a 9 minute period, not a 26 minute period. Aother call to her was made once the paramedics got there. Police have estimated that he had died between 1 and 2:45, so it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

Actually MK Olsen told the masseuse to call 911, then she had one of her guards go over there cause he knew CPR and might help.
MK Olsen got a call in the middle of the night about something happening 3,000 miles away from her...seems to me she did everything she could to help.

It wasn't a 20 minute period. The maid got in at 3:00pm & didn't even realize anything was wrong til like 10 minutes later. Clearly 9-1-1 is the best option, but when you're scared & worried you're not really thinking straight. And MK was far away, she couldn't have done much else than she did. And as everyone has already said, he was already dead by that time. Sadly, nothing could have been done anyway.
