Actually, Corsas of this type do tend to belong to chavs. Most are all show and no go (with the exception of the VXR's and extreme performance mods). The Chav mindset is all about 'look at me', however most don't have the style or cash to do things properly and end up looking like 'try hard' twats. At the end of the day no matter what you do, an old Corsa is still an old Corsa why spend a fortune on a shitbox? The old saying that 'You can't polish a turd' certainly rings true here.

Of coure my Audi would loose against a 270hp Corsa, it's bone stock! I don't think you can do this for under £2000, there are many things to do on an engine to "put on" a turbo.

And isn't it just a matter of time till something breaks? A Corsa isn't made for 270hp...

I hope you know the potential of Audis inline 5 cylinder engines and their drivetrains!? If i'd invest £2000 in my old Audi it would be pretty fast too... Plus it could handle the power without breaking!

With new engine, turbo (And all the things you have to do to adapt that turbo... ), suspension and brake system you will not stay below £2000, never!

I really doubt that you'd beat an Audi inline-5 (NG, 7A, ABY or something like that...) which was modified with the same amount of money, I'd love to try it!

I know the C20LET and C20XE are very capable. You can push them to 280hp without changing main parts. As far as I know, you just have to take stronger head bolts. But you have to do many little things like remap the ECU, raise fuel pressure and so on...

But Audis inline 5 cylinder are just the same, if not better! And beside the engine, also the drivetrains are very strong, capable of taking 600NM!

Btw: An Audi 80B4 ist not that heavy, 1270kg. With a C20LET your Corsa weights also 1 ton.
