@helpdonate1 there were empires in Africa throughout history. The Ancient Egyptian empire is the most famous. The Romans were trading with African kingdoms for centuries. There were kingdoms in Africa during colonization, some actually traded slaves, too. Sadly, African kindgoms dont' keep records. It's all orally handed down.
I will say, however, as a American Born Nigerian, I don't approve of what Sharpton said, and he just makes Blacks look ignorant. He would have never won the presidency.
