at this moment i'm studying biology. I don´t have really sure, but i think that "TATA" box are only in prokaryotic cells. The promotor zone is in -10 bp before inition site. Am I wrong?
For the people that dont know what TATA refers to, its the sequence of DNA that forms part of the promoter where RNA polymerase binds to before transcription is initiated.
Its a sequence found in almost all gene promoters with the nucleotide sequence thymine-adenine-thymine-adenine, simply refered to as TATA.
Searching a newly analyzed genome for the TATA sequence is one of the best methods for determining the positions of genes along the double helix.
We used to think that most genes have TATA boxes, but that's no longer the thought. The latest estimate is that only 27% of human pol II genes have a TATA box.
And why it always looks like an unrespectful provocation when people try to have a discussion on this issue? Arent they allowed to share their arguments?
I respect people who are nice and interesting, it doesnt matter what they believe. But i cant respect people who hate others for different religions or for being atheists, scientists, gays etc.
Why aren´t scientists able also to think and talk about WHY? Are they less qualified, spending all their lifes with researchs on many questions about life, directly working with it, than people who have their knowledge about development of life from a very old book?
I am just wandering where do yo find this evidence, i am looking for it for years and what i realizze is that there is no need for a creator. Perhaps there is one or more driving forces beyond the physics we know, but they have little to do with the bible or other books, which were written for people by people, who knew exactly the same about God as we do, namely nothing.
But the evolution that looks upon the work and denies the need and proof of an artisan; that gazes upon the inspiring canvas, and says there was no artist; that dwells in the protection and comfort of an edifice of beauty and claims there never was an architect; that scans the face of the time piece of the universe and says, "this is all chance" - that is false evolution, illogical, unscientific, untrue. -James E Talmage
The influences that developed from the cave hut to the mansion, from the fire-hollowed canoe to the iron clad and the Great Eastern, from the pack mule to the locomotive and the electric car, from the foot messenger through all the gradations of flags and signal-fires to the telegraph and the telephone, from the pine torch to the electric lamp - that is evolution. It shows in every step the evolver. There is a design; there must needs have been a designer.
I am very sorry but you have no idea what evolution is. You completely misunderstand the basic idea behind it. It is up to yo if you like to belief in a magical, teleomeric, system with a almighty creator, but this is just very, very improbable. But it is not your fault. There is a big lack in education about current knowledge of what life is. So many people keep on believing in trolls and elfs.
Faith in God does not mean lack of education. It takes just as big of a leap of faith to not believe in intelligent design. Can you prove God doesn't exist? And yet I can look at all things around me as evidence there is a God.
It's impossible to prove each other wrong. I just go off the feeling I have as I pray and the miracle I see as I excercise faith. Just because the academics don't believe there is a God, doesn't mean I will follow.
It is your decision what to believe and how to live, but it is important to be open-minded to scientific thinking, ideas and results. Of course nobody can disprove Gods existance, but the evidence makes it, as i said, very improbable. Science explains a lot but by far not everything. Religion explains nothing. This is the difference. If you dont wont to get behind the process of life (which is often unromantic, but stil very fascinating)its ok.
But thanks to people who did this and stil do we have a better life(medicine, technologies). It is important to find our way here on earth because this is all we have and believe me, no magic forces, nobody else but ourselves can help us.
Amokings, I totally agree with the importance of studying life. My religion encourages everyone to learn as much as they can. I look at science and use it as evidence as God does exist. I believe He designed all of this. The thing about the bible and religion is it deals with WHY we are here, while science talks about HOW we got here. I feel both are very important, but we can agree to disagree.
And by the way, I have seen many prayers bring about miracles. Faith is a 'magic force'.
I don't think we'll be able to prove whether or not their is on a God on a YouTube chat board. I'm just really people of people who don't believe in God thinking they are better than those who do. I find that people who don't believe are generally disrespectful and quite arrogant. They don't realize that not believe in God takes just a big of leap of faith as believing in God.
I can respect that you don't believe in God, who don't you unbelievers show a little class and respect us?
by that logic, couldn't you count the incredibly large amount of tragic and spontaneous events that occur in the universe as proof that God doesn't exist? there are significantly more bad things happening at this point and time then good, overall in the world. On a large scale level, at least.

I believe in God also. funny taking Bio and Chem has even given me stronger evidence that God really exists!, and not only exists but also made everything around us! and I(as crazy as it may sound ot some people)am his doughter and someday I'll go ot heaven and live with Him forever!!!!!
personally i am atheist to an extent, but common sense says you can't make anything out of nothing, so eventually there is something eternal. don't even know why i'm writing this on a youtube comment, but whatever. the elaborate rules of biology and chemistry only promote the complexity of our world. while this does not promote the existence of some higher sentient being, it is interesting to note how improbable the universe is. if one believes in god, it can be a testament, to us, it is not

What are the "low basal levels" that the video speaks of?
purplepenguin25 3 years ago
low basal level,
first, understand basal level.
that's the base line. Without any modifiers, the transcription of DNA happens at a certain rate, this is the basal level.
The low in low basal level, is just an adjective. The author is saying, the basal rate, is low. (in comparison to what?)
the low, is just an extra word really.

Your Jesus? Wouldn't that be blasphemy to call him yours?
And I hope sometime He'll teach you how to spell, unless He told you that "doughter" is a word.
And why wait for "someday" to go to heaven to live with Him forever? Why not go now?
And how does science give you evidence that God exists? For this one, I am genuinely interested in your findings. Please enlighten me.
