Great video of Earl King. If you look closely, the second guitarist appears to be Clarence Holliman, a legend in his own right, who played lead guitar on many of Bobby "Blue" Bland best early sides.
Earl King is a great musician. I've been listening to 'Street Parade' in the car all week - the more I listen to his stuff, the more I can't get enough of it!
@emperorof420 There still be blues about. ON radio, you have to find it on electic stations. Live, you have to go down to some of the old clubs (if one dares). But then there are plenty of historical jazz societies out there that have blues nights in some of the more decent establishments. Now once you leave the US, blues can be found, especially in Canada and UK

it's good but I prefer Guitar Slim's version best. I guess because it was my grandmother's favorite song and I would call her and play it for her. The band in on point!
thanks / Your completely right. Its a shame we wont see something from him, died in 1959.
But earl played with him and even toured in 1954b impersonating him. There are some great stories about that. On his own he made some great originals in the fities and early sixties. Theres not a lot of this stuff going around yet on tube.
that is true....1955-56 Earl recorded A Mother's Love for Specialty Records...and a lot of people bought that record thinking it was by Guitar Slim.. Mr. King passed away on 4/17/2003
