It's not often you hear the early works of Stravinsky. His character doesn't really show through this, especially "The Shepherdess". I can hear more of it around 1:28 with the voice in 32-notes. And "The Faun" surely has more of that Stravinsky-sound. Just the fact that it's TONAL makes it foreign. Certainly Stravinsky said it best himself, it sounds "like Stravinsky not at all". Hard to believe the Rite followed just four years after this.
@nostradamusguy Although this work is generally thought to be just a tentative exercise in styling, I think that here you can hear many cues of Stravinsky's Ballet Russes period, especially the third song (folk material, impressionistic scoring, etc).
