What caused the perfect creation of God to choose evil?

How are creatures who are slaves to sin free? Are slaves free?No,they must do sinful things because being a slave to master sin will make one evil,unable to do good things in the eyes of a Holy and Righteous God.This is why God must regenerate the sinner before he can do a good thing such as,believe in Christ.A baby only cries after his birth,a man only cries out to God after his New birth &neither the baby or man had any control over their births,both were facilitated by God alone.
