Yeah, I'm a Houstonian by birth and it ticked my mom off when they started AppleTree. Safeway was her favorite store. The same place that used to be her Safeway is now a Food Town. Ugh!

that's understandable- a lot of their store-brand products have "safeway select" logos, even here at Southern California's Vons.
