what he is explaining his kid is probably my favorite perspective about life and mankind . if theres anything in life about what people say and have for the supreme truth you got it here!!! deep and simple!!!! love it!
There's a profundity to this scene I never realized until years later, when a neighbor's house caught fire. I wrote down in detail how my neighbor ran to my door, we called 911, I sheltered everyone inside, we all stayed safe in my house while the fire raged. Next week's newspaper reported that I was IN the burning house with the homeowners, and all of us didn't know what to do.
No reporter ever spoke to me.
They just decided upon their level of BS, as this clip says. A better story, I guess.
Dustin Hoffman is the shit. I wish he was in more movies, he's one of those really exceptional actors who is always believable, because he always plays the character exactly as you would expect him to act, but also because his own character and personality is so variable.
Tom Cruise... yeah, he works hard, puts a lot of effort into his roles... but half the time he gets cast in shit that tom cruise, as an actor, has no business being in. Shit like Last Samurai and Valkyrie. No business.
Every movie hollywood makes from now on should feature at least ONE scene with Dustin Hoffman, and one with Christopher Walken. These two men are national treasures and need to be seen as much as possible while they're still young enough to act.
Same goes for bill murray while he's still around. He was in Zombieland, and it was incredible.
Christopher Walken, though, should be like Stan Lee in marvel movies. He should just appear randomly in a scene somewhere in the background.
thats not really the case theres alot of old movies on youtube like ones that came out in the 70s and 80s... i think noone just doesnt wanna upload this
No no, my mum had this on Vhs and it was called Accidental Hero. I called her and asked lol. I'm in Australia, I assume it was just named differently here. Definetley the same movie though
Love this movie too.Favourite part is when Geena Davis is talking to Dustin Hoffman near the end after realising who saved her and says 'for the record, thanks for saving my life' Dustin says 'you're welcome' Beautiful scene.
It's really classical ending

There is a movie enbtitled "Accidental Heros" (2004), but this is not it.
This was released in 1992 in the USA as "Hero", of course it may have been released outside the US under another name.
