This was written by Jerry Hayes who, shortly after moving to Nashville, was injured in an accident and was rendered paraplegic. I met Jerry in Memphis in the mid-70's and at one time he said he had played drums for the Everly Brothers...and he played a guitar that Don Everly had given him. The only other song of Jerry's that garnered any royalties was "Keep on Rollin' with the Flow" by Charlie Rich.
