  • Dale Bozzio pwning 30 years ago... Lady Gaga is a fraud!! .... pathetic

  • this is real. "lady gaga" is just: SHIT

  • Gaga is a cheap copy at best. Nearly 30 year later Dale Bozzio is still THE SHIT!

  • Man, check out the gams on dat dame!

  • This video was hard for me to watch on MTV back when I was a 13yr old boy, it gave me some weird and stange feelings. lol

  • no one notices i think ill die my hair blue! :/

  • I thought lady gaga was a dude?

  • Dale Bozzio! Yum Yum!!

  • The early days of M T .V.

  • I wish lady gaga would just become a missing person sometimes. I get sick of hearing that she is edgy and fresh.....sorry already been done....and done very well.

  • I think Paul Stanley copied Dale ;)

Regarding Gaga, that about sums it up.. A baby trying to be a woman.. she can't touch Dale. I'm no lesbian, but she is a hot lady!

  • I miss seeing Dale around town and wonder where she is now. I hope she is doing ok......The last time I saw her was at the Post Office and she was looking forward to a gig in California.

  • This is my next Halloween costume. I was dandy highwayman last year( Adam Ant).

  • I'd love to see Lady Gaga & Dale do somthin, That would be so phuckin hott...

  • @SuperQuief May I assist you into heavy traffic!!!

  • Spring Session M is just mixed up Missing Persons.

I remember staring, with rapt amazement, at Dale Bozio's succulently moist, very widely spread vagina in the no holes barred photospread she did for Hustler Magazine when this song came out. It was sometime before I was able to eat clams again.

  • @forloveoffilm Thanks for sharing freak! I could have gotten by without your grody comment..YEASH!!!

  • Everyone has it wrong, its not lady gaga, it's Lady Caca....

  • I think its soo stupid how people say that a artist lady ga ga is copying dale come on guys every genre every look every idea overlaps another in some kind of way how can anything be considered original anymore?

  • Now you can't tell me Lady Ga Ga is "knocking off "Dale Dazzio from Missing Persons"........Clueless if you don't see it........

  • She had a nice, tight body.

  • Ahhh . Frank Zappa alumn rocked!

  • Shes pretty rique for the 80's. She kind of reminds me of a cross between Gwen stefini/music and Lady Gaga/style.

  • YEp Can almost see the ole crotch taco.....

  • Boy I had forgotten what a nice set of muscular long killer legs she had back in the day! WHEW! Like to lick your way up those thighs to the promised land! (Which you can alomst see here) HEE HEEE

  • Lady Gaga is the worst thing to happen to music in over 30 years.

  • Originals are hard to beat! Dale is much more innovative than Lady Gaga. They don't even compare

  • Lady Gaga is definitely NOT an original

  • shit-about time I found this damned video! I may be young but I appreciate the originals :)

  • I would take Dale over Ladie GooGoo any day.

  • Well when I FIRST laid eyes on Gaga 'Oh Dale of Missing Persons' influence. But in our hyper-distracted culture, the kids have NO CLUE to Dale or Missing Persons. Love this song. Takes me back to '80's in a flash.

  • Painted Hussy :P

  • A lot hotter than Gaga.

  • Damn, I miss the 80s. WTF happened to the time? It seems like yesterday.

  • @TheMobhit I hear you brother! Fuck me I would give one of my kidney's.hell one of my kids to go back in time! Seems like yesterday! I saw them at Magic Mountain in California back in the day,and broke up with my girlfriend all in the same night! Ah the good ole days!

  • please stop dissing gaga she is a influenced fan not a enemy

  • @GaGazMonster Grammar Tip: The word “an” should be used before words that begin with vowels. For example, "Please stop dissing Gaga. She is an influenced fan, not an enemy."

  • Madonna, lady gaga, gwen stefani, riahna, pink, etc are starved witch

    filthy next to Dale Bozzio

  • The first-contact assessment team has met and devised a new course of action. (Aramis Deceives) Wii loves committees.

  • i like it!

  • I love listening to interviews with dale, her boston accent is the coolest.

  • classically trained keyboardist and guitarist in zappa's band. lady gaga does not stack up.

  • classically trained keyboardist and guitarist in zappa's band. lady gaga does not stack up.

  • Nice box.

  • I love the minny skirt.

  • by far MISSING PERSONS signature song. got them into the mainstream and mtv rotation. plus dale's intriguing outfit - or lack thereof - got the teenage boy's attention. even though their candle burned out quickly, they left an indelible mark on early new wave music of the '80s.

  • yeah yeah yeah, saw this band Missing Persons back in the 1980's, and yes they did have my attention, think the Suburban Lawns from Long Beach, California opened for them; Led by Sue "Su Tissue" McLane (vocals/ keyboards) with Frankie Ennui (Richard Whitney) (guitar), Vex Billingsgate

  • Chuck Berry said it best "There ain't nothin' new under the Sun". Never heard anything like this till Dale though. Suck it Lady Gaga.

  • Visit Mobile Audit Club by Google searching for Mobile Audit Club and see evidence of the American and international holocaust. You would have to be insane to kill for the ruling international regime. THey are attacking me. What else is new. They do not like freedom of speech. The EADS horde is mad and their kraut club has joined with the sausage eaters of NYC. Overthrow the dictator. Google Mobile Audit .Clug and find out why.

  • Nina Hagen meets Blondie !!!

  • good 1 ~ great diary look ~

  • testing

  • Dale Bozzio preceded Madonna AND Lady GaGa with quirky style, "screw the suits" kind of music and her own style. She broke out in a music segment that was dominated by men and, like Blondie, was one of the pop icons of 80's wave music. And she is a hot little pixie.

  • what a hottie!

  • the OG lady gaga. only cool.

  • @ sava ~ good pnt ~ Ur on 2 something ~

  • DALE was the ORIGINAL Lady Gaga!!

  • What are words for now days, no one listens. Just trying to make a buck...dicks

  • Um, but who wrote these brilliant lyrics? I'd kinda like to know. Was it Dale, Terry. Warren Cucarillo? Or somebody else?

  • Gaga would approve

  • Yes, a definite similarity in their looks, Dale and Pris.

Considering the timeline, it was a cool coincidence.

The video for ''Words'' was taped in December of 1981, and the movie Bladerunner was released in 1982.

  • Dale and Hazel O Connor remind me of Darryl Hannah's look in Blade Runner-Punked out but Sexy

  • It's you whom I love, babe... Dale, you've made deep scars in the hearts of a generation... This one comes loaded with memories of a taxi driver in the wilderness of a so called capital city... it can get very dangerous at times and incredibly romantic when the mood or the heat is on... oh the heat is on... yeah why not...

  • Lady Gaga doesnt have a body ,legs or a voice like Dale...Dam I like those legs

  • my god get ahold of yourself - she has the body of a 12 year old girl - minus the implants - if that's what your into

  • Look at Dale's legs!

    I really envy her!!

  • most of the girl singers out today were defiietly influenced by Missing Persons, Cyndi Lauper and other singers from this time. They paved the way for them, baby! Rock on!

  • I love this...turned on by a girl wearing an egg carton...Im pathetic !---old stuff still awesome.

  • awesome

  • Yeah nothing's new under the sun honey!

  • Lady Gaga needs to stay away from anything Dale has ever recorded. She is not and will never be worthy.

  • @dumbthings1970 I completely agree. Since the first day i saw Lady Gaga I though hey she looks like someone i use to listen too back in the day.

  • i remember an interview with Terri asking how she came up with her wild outfits and she said something like, she'd go to stores, toy stores, etc and just grab stuff that she could turn into attire.... or lack thereof, lol - - - held my attention :-D

  • She's a true artist, and a beauty too!

  • I love this song from Missing Persons. That's the

apart of the old school 80's.

    Sandra.

  • she looks like my cousin from thousand oaks when I saw MP it was at arms length and I lost my hearing for days -- willingly

  • i agree, lady gaga is very similar

  • itd be funny if she was on a talk show and their like "lets look at your earliest performance" and play this video...huh huh

  • white never looked soo good ~

  • is it just me or is "lady gaga" a total rip off of MP?

  • her appearance is, but the styles of music are definitely different

    MP is 80's pop

    Gaga is 2000's pop

just the difference of the two decades is what makes the two authentic from each other, and unless you compare them side to side, people wouldn't notice the ultimate similarity...

  • Actually, I think Gaga is influenced by Missing Persons' music as well. She has some New Wave influences in her music even though you can't really tell since it's mostly really poppy stuff.

Gaga can't hold a candle to Dale or Missing Persons, though.

  • @xJessie181x ...I agree, but it is funny how the younger teens and 20 year old think Lady Gaga is original and all she is is a remix of Dale Bozzio...Lady Gaga has some great music, but there is some songs that is just nuts and the videos are reeeally trashy...Dale has some racy video's and she got aaaa lot controversy over her music and appearance way before Lady Gaga...Gaga wasn't even a itch yet in her parents pants...when all this wave of music started...

  • @valerysgirl no way, lady gaga sucks. its just the typical generic rap/pop garbage that we get today

  • Any red blooded American male would have to say she is totally hot. I was in college during this song's height. I loved her then and love her now. This band was so great for it's time. The outfit was kinda pornographic for it's time too.

  • I totally crushed hard on Dale when I was a kid...

    That hair looks flammable tho.

  • awesome legs she has...great song to..but man what nice legs!!!

  • If you were around during this song's hey day you'd know it was a great song for it's time. I, for one, thought it catchy and pertinent for the time. I think I'll dye my hair blue. What a great line. What are words for? Why are you typing if you really think no one listens any more.

  • I really enjoyed your comment -and your last sentence was to die for!!!

  • Why thank you for your comments. Do you hear me? Do you care? I think you do.

  • I'm not going to sift through all the bullshit, but anyone who has half a brain cell knows that Frank Zappa approved of her musical talent. Anyone who knows Frank Zappa knows he has high standards. She's got a great voice and more importantly can sing live.

  • I will add to that assessment: I had an immediate attraction to her voice as well. Not only can she sing, but she got the twist we wanted during that time of life (I was a teen and anxious to dye my blond hair blue...at least a strip). Great band! I felt so empowered with this song and others.

  • Okay..that makes me feel a little better,,,never heard the Frank Zappa thing but I have always thought this girl had charisma and a great talent...my husband always laughs and says 'its so 80's' but I think this would amazing today...

  • A very good observation. Zappa really knew about innovative new sounds. He is a good gauge of true talent. He didn't care what was popular or not, but instead recognized talent and cutting edge performances. Again I say this is a very good observation and standard to judge this band by.

  • they were complete badasses...and she completely ruled

  • you are completly correct...i loved watching her

  • I agree

  • Dale was the sexiest woman on TV

  • One of the best drummers of all time!!!

  • at 2:46 is her best moves....she rulez

  • What's really great about 80's dance music is that it always had a real bite to it with the aggressive guitar adding strong elements of rock to the danceable melody and the chorus is always timeless. Today's dance music is just pure digital and really wimpy sounding!

  • that is a very good observation.

  • Thanks Herr2Cents.

  • Yeah young kids today probably think Lady Gaga is very original but chicks like Dale Bozzio and Debbie Harry were the fashion renegades decades ago who eventually spawned the likes of gaga and Gwen and others.

  • -laughs- maybe they did

  • rad..

  • Dale rules!

  • Missing Persons was the first musical crush I had... I was ten when this came out.... Dale Bozzio was my "first wife".. then came Tina Turner, then Sheila E. ... then Janet.... then Bjork.... then...............

  • What an amazing body! perfect!

  • Wow! I thought I was the only one that thought this. Saw Lady Gaga on American Idol last week and thought, what a copy cat of Dale! Big time!

  • originalty is a hard thing to come by..

  • warren currucullo does porn now, and you can buy a dildo molded from his penis lol

  • she was a playboy playmate before missing persons

  • no that was wendo o williams

  • So was Blondie

  • wtf is she wearing? this came out when I was like 5 or 6 or something...

  • Back in the 80's we called it 'not much' :)

  • LOL!! Great answer Thoughtfulguy68!! Excellent!!

  • I think the look is totally awesome. So is the song.

  • Does it matter if I were it's Queen Suprme Central.wanted!

  • AwardsSupremeCentral!

  • Love Me Sweetheart!

  • Throw that cutest lady queen over our shoulder and ship her home to US!..(now go back..en get..our friend that OUI Love!)

  • Absolutely Absolutely COOL!

  • I feel funny. Like when we used to climb the rope in gym class.

  • she is a replikant and she has some tiny little stems...this song is the sick and should be given an award for being this cool.

  • She was Playboy Bunny of the Year in 1976, when she was just 20.

  • Didn't know that. Learn something everyday day. Thanks. Going to Goggle search her.!!

  • OH YEAH :D

    I luffthis song o3o

LAWL MY MOM TURNED ME ONTO IT XDDDDD

  • For fuck's sake, calm down and learn how to type.

  • For your sake, Take a chill pill and Learn how to Be nice.

Reddragon dosent play nice with others.

    Kthxbai.

  • the way you dress it's a wonder they don't hear you. if they don't hear you then they must be living inside a cave.

  • good song

  • Look at her legs! Yeah. They had a good run from 82-84 with some catchy tunes.

  • I think she worked at the Playboy Club in the Boston area, but didn't pose in the mag. That may have still made her a Playboy Bunny. I think those clubs are no longer....are they?

  • She was in Swank or something, not Playboy.

  • Wat iz she wearing????????

  • Do you hear me, do you care!

  • I always wondered, is that a muffin tray she's wearing down below in front? First time I saw this video, my immediate thought, "She looks like a hooker from Mars!"

  • she use to be a playboy bunny

  • WHAT ISSUE!!!!!!! lol

  • A bunny, yes, but never a Playmate.

  • Loved the almost monotonic but deep/electric-eclectic beginning ... this song was a legit hit "back in the day."

  • DALE FOREVER!!!!

  • Terry Bozzio is such a musical drummer-listen to his playing and interestingly enough he considered his stint with Frank Zappa to be an education within itself.

  • Hahaha well I just wonder what it was like to Fuck her while she makes those little high pitched screams.

  • This one said, that one said...are you a 13 year old girl? You gossip like one. You washed up roadies are worse than a sewing circle.

  • OMG a slutty rock star!?!? Who would have imagined that? I guess I should be mad at Mick Jagger because he was slutty. Or maybe it's just a double standard.

There are yootoob clips of Dale singing this same song live. These live performances were "recording studio enhanced," right?

  • "I guess I should be mad at Mick Jagger because he was slutty. Or maybe it's just a double standard."

Oh SHUT UP. This overused little [pseudo]-feminist crying is frankly, bereft of logic. Nobody was talking about Mick Jagger or any other rock stars, so why the fuck should the poster suddenly go "oh but (insert random male rocker) is a slut too"? You can't read his mind and assume to know what he thinks about others just because they weren't mentioned.

  • Also, you bra-burners are obnoxious about not making it clear where your real problem lies. Do you think that sluttiness is okay, but only disapprove of name-calling not "going both ways"? Also, in your need drag the names of random men in the mud when defending these women, how are YOU not being sexist? Bottom line, bringing up what "other people do" in light of a person being criticized is a childish argument tactic.

  • What he was trying to do was write her off as a no talent slut. Stereotyping!

He called her a slut, because she was unfaithful to her husband. But if she was a man we would just assume the rock star cheats on their spouse.

Then he throws in some second hand crap about her sucking at some show god knows where or when. He said this was all studio enhanced when there is plenty of live evidence just on YT of her being crazy in concert.

Im a man but I know a double standard when I see one.

  • cat abuser

  • i couldnt find anything to wear so i wore my own record.

    god i love dale

  • Very well said, davidscalling.

  • No man would 'listen' when she looks like that! If she hid her chest a little I think men might pay more attn to what she says!

  • "No one notices. I think I'll dye my hair blue." BEST. LYRIC. EVER.

  • love this song

  • Dale and Aimee Mann were 2 of the hottest rock chicks ever. I hope she didn't really neglect the kittens in NH.

I'm 43 and still love Missing Persons, ever since high school.

  • Ha! I have an outfit like that in my closet.

  • I HOPE you wear it!!! However, it isn't a difficult costume to construct. If you've got it...use it!!!:)

  • I love to hear Dale talk with Her Boston accent

  • Look at that hair. I miss the 80's!

  • Dale was sooo freakin' hot back then

  • 'what the heck city is your jack fm in anyway, stud dudster?

  • heard it on jack fm

its been in my head ever since

  • lol.

    p. you know theres a jack or harry or tom fm in every in every major city in the USA.

no kidding the jack thing ain't no badge of honor.

what gets kudos is the wise guy dj who dared and prolly got fired for playing stuff this rich on good ole jackitty jack jack fm, like 3 times before they fired his ass.
