  • Y2J "ARMBAAAR"

  • Good video :)

  • GAY!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice video, thx man

  • ARMBAR!

  • wow that was a good video i can do it now...ima girl tooo

  • i dont like it

  • fuck the world

  • i still dont get it i have a dick and when the elbow pushes against it i release the arm !?

  • @mico6945 you need to get that looked at then the dick should never hurt the balls it pressed hard should

  • @extremeNash LOL, you guys are both just joking right?:) His arm ain't even getting anywhere near the jewels when I armbar...., if it does, I'm stuffing my heel as hard down in his mouth as I can and that's that!

  • I like your video

  • You dont have to wear a cup for do a good armbar noob. . in bjj matches you are not alaud to have cups. The thing whid submitions is just to isulate the joints and be tight.

  • i tried doing armbars like this, just like i seen in UFc and it doesnt hurt ?? i cant make anyone tap, and when i ask them to do it to me, they cant hurt me either . What are we doing wrong?? we have no one to teach us, we have to look on u tube to learn. bascially i just dont see where the pain should be coming from/ It lookjs like you trying to pull his arm out the shoulder joint. is that what you doing?

  • @TonyMon16 By doing an armbar you are basically "hyperextending" the elbow/shoulder joint. In other words forcing the joint to go in a way it ain't designed to go!

  • @TonyMon16 Is there really no Judo or BJJ clubs near u?

  • @Jimmynable

None :(, now judo, no bjjj, no normal JJ, we dont even have boxing gyms, or wrestling. All i have access to is a karate class in a school gym with 10 year olds, or tae kwon do with teenagers :(. We have no serious fighting classes or gyms. i did find a wing chun class once (bruce lee style), it was very far away and he charged me £20 a 40min class (35 us dollars), and told me i need to come 3-4 times a week for a year to learn basic, i ofc had to decline, its sad, i so wanna learn

  • @TonyMon16 Oh where do u live?

  • @TonyMon16

What you are supposed to do is lift the pelvis upwards to bend the joint in the wrong way which causes the pain.

  • @TonyMon16 @TonyMon16 Dude i think i know your problem since I had that problem before i joined BJJ classes,

I'm guessing you know the positioning of armbar but i'll try fill in gaps that you might not know.

Have your ass basically resting on the side his shoulder when you start the sub.

When you are in the finishing position, squeeze your knees together and arch back like your humping the air lol, also the thumb faces in an upward position.

Tell me if this helped thanks

  • Good look man Good vid...thx for the post

  • lol do it right!

  • How do you not crush your own balls doing an armbar?

  • @RyanMiller3039 you wear a cup.

  • Good instruction. I think it is pivotal to mention that for an armbar to truly be successful, you have to have the guy's thumb pointing up. I've always known this but kinda neglected it in practice and I was only getting the submission half the time despite everything else right. Thumb pointing up=super important.

  • @MobiusCoin actualy that's only half right. to get the armbar what you need to keep in mind is aplying pressure towards the pinky. Of course that means that most of the time the thumb will be pointing up but if a person rotates the arm, if u aply pressure towards the pinky you will still get the submission

  • i would like to see these haters wrestle with him he use to be my mma teacher and he is a amazing wrestler

  • Make sure you have their thumb facing the sky... you don't have to do it, but it helps with leverage and thus having a greater effect

  • @broly322628 Youtube: Arm bar in real fight

  • @broly322628

You see it that way because you have never fought someone skilled and you must not be skilled in any kind of martial art yourself.

  • Idiots everywhere. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Great video.

  • Why my teacher told me to put the right leg's foot on the other side of the ribs (sorry for my bad english)

  • @CockyR4 jajajajajajajajajajjaajja!!!!

  • Similar to my favorite armbar from the guard, good for bigger guys who need to go a little slower with armbars as it slows it down.

  • that is bull shit

  • the white man can stand up , and then?

  • @Michealstyler and then... his arm is broken.

dumb question. u obviously never were in a real gd armbar... moron.

  • this looks like it would work great...

    i am just kidding.

  • 0:22 did I walk into a porno?

  • can't let the arm go...

  • DO ALL OF YOU RELIZE THAT HES DOING AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO, ITS BOUND TO LOOK SLOPPY. TRY GOING FULL SPEED AT THE GYM WITH HIM AND i BET IT DONT LOOK SO BAD. ps. im sure he just forgot about the thumb, give the guy a break, a lot of pressure is on when you know hundreds of keyboard warriors are going to disect every part of your vid.

  • @cchhaadd33

Why don't you re-think the logic of that statement because it makes no sense. Moron.

An instructional would be less pressure than a real situation because the person you're "vs'ing" is cooperating with you in the demonstration so therefore you have all time and means necessary to apply the technique properly.

I'm not disagreeing about giving the guy a break. But your reason is fucking idiotic.

  • @cchhaadd33 hahah i love that one keyboard warriors, :D

  • Cocklock

  • THAT WAS TERRIBLE!!!!

  • not sure this sort of deal would really work :P just saying. Learn BJJ it'll help :)

  • Very sloppy

  • im not even a blue belt, and this is probobly one of the worst tutorials i have seen im sorry dude

  • @cookedbake post a better one then Mr Gracie

  • What the fuck this is all wrong!!!

  • sorry dude but every part of that was wrong

  • thumb pointing up bro

  • wtf this is the most fucked u armbar ever lol

  • nice armbar brother

  • No offense intended, but this looks pretty sloppy.

  • 0:20....ooooh yeah!!!

  • 0:14 isnt it always awkward when you ASK him to go into your guard lol Hey dude come here i needa wrap my legs around you :D

  • I'd say the hip movement and all is good. The last thing (And HIGHLY important step) you forgot to show in this vid is to make your opponents thumb face the ceiling. the tiny inches makes all the difference in the world. Nice try at the video though :D.

  • hahahah

  • This is my FAVOURITE submission but I have a question. Do i extend his arm then lift my hips up or do I lift my hips then extend?

  • @amro138 extend his arm, then lift your hips.

  • hahaha, it wuz ok!

  • Most of you people making fucvked up comments aren't Masters or Grand Masters....or even 1st Dan If you were, your attitudes would reflect such. But if it's too sloppy for you, but your get your arm broke, then it really don't matter. Practice makes PROGRESS. Please be courteous of the guy or girl that's looking to learn, not ridicule. But mos folks are into MMA bullshit and have never learned a system at all. Too much TV.

  • This is terrible, I'm guessing you taught yourself that move or you train at a McDojo?

Don't try to teach people before you know the fundamentals yourself. Can niggers do anything right????

  • @steviewossobama....I can understand your point clearly, but that"nigger" thing has nothing to do with it. If it was a white dude, then sloppy would be sloppy, no matter what...so why get racial about it. Is that what they teach YOU??? To assess a combat situation based on race? That's not a Martial attitude.

  • This is terrible, I'm guessing you taught yourself that move or you train at a McDojo?

Don't try to teach people before you know the fundamentals yourself.

  • ok. so all these vids are showing me how to do an armbar. but since im new to this mma stuffi also want to know what to do when in position for the armbar. am i trying to pull his arm, as if im trying to pull it off? or am i trying to bend it the opposite direction, as if im trying to brake it at the elbow?

  • @realsexy022 I do MMA and this is the 3 type of defenses i do when ppl attempt an armbar.

Theres the 1. You bend your arm, so the arm that their trying to get an armbar with, is bent 45 degrees, using your OTHER HAND, you have to QUICKLY grab your wrist, and turn the OTHER WAY AROUND, JUST KEEP ROLLING, and you should be out.

    2. If you have a good bicep like me. iF you can curl your arm (like bicep curls) and managed to hold off your arm without them pulling it, you can manage to either

  • @realsexy022 Stand up and Slam him (must grab your wrist with other hand when u attmept a slam., or manage to roll his way (if you can get past his feet, From there, You can get INTO SIDE control, OR punch him with the other arm, and then using explosive power by surprise, pull out the other arm.

(sorry if i type really confusing)

    3. If u feel it is loose, dont try to hold it with sheer force, Explosively, you can counter it by doing a ankle lock.leg bar

  • lol

  • when doing the armbar your opponent's thumb should be pointing towards the ceiling, champion.

  • @AyzieBone Was about to type the same thing bro. LOL Where's the thumb to ceiling

  • @AAAndrade24 hahaha

  • I don't know but i like this technique and gonna try it.. and yeah you always have haters... :s:s:s

  • idiot

  • idiot

  • poor

  • idk why some people are such dicks about videos on here. thid id a different technique than i use but this seems to work good im gonna give it a try nice video.

  • Should put in the description ALMOST PERFECT.

The Arm should be thumb side up, hence maximising the pressure.

    Everything else looked okay.

  • When you finish the opponents thumb should be up (pinky to your chest). Will make it much tighter and give less opportunity for a counter. I agree, this guy knows something, but does not look like an expert.

  • all you dissin him i bet he could whup ur ass cus i do that same technique and it works so good job figthersdreams that is a good technique so ignore them and some of the ufc pros use that same thing so they dont know what they talkin about

  • I have respect for all martial arts, I train kung fu, only 1 question I have is, why is it that everytime I see forums in jiu jitsu, there is always a lot of HATE TALK??? I can tell from the way the majority of posts are written the majority of them have "some" mma training or jiu jitsu training, but why don't you guys support each other instead of trash talk???

  • @TheDragonUSA I see what you're saying. In kung fu and other martial arts there is discipline and respect, but then you run into these mma/jiu jitsu guys and they all think they are the best. There's nothing wrong with his arm bar if it works.

  • @TransAmFSAS All I am saying is, if somebody is trying to teach a particular style, even if you believe that he is not doing a good job, if you are from the same style, just give him some support. Now I can guarantee that 99% of these comments all come from MMA or Jiu Jitsu practitioners, oh and you are correct, with no discipline.

  • annoying background noise

  • you could a pulled a triangle way quicker from that position

  • First seconds looks pretty wrong

  • Why is it that GSP was the first thought or name that came into my mind when i heard the guy speak?

  • yeah thats sketchy, and not a very good way.

  • yeah ....real easy when the your aponent is as docile as a hindu cow

  • lmao man that is weak, i would stack you like a fucking box

  • go to any gracie barra school there will be 20 guys in the white belt class that will fuck this guy up

  • this is a terrible way to armbar. First of all, you have to get head control before even attempting it. Sloppy just in general though. You do not have to transition to a triangle first.

  • BSP

  • BSP

  • my master taught me to get head control first? is this corect or not?

  • I don't know much about martial arts but...instead of going for the armbar wouldn't it be better to go for the gogoplata? [Considering he's not punching you]

  • Better yet, since my palm would be facing upwards I would turn my thumb down and twisted my arm as I rolled my body out. Then lifted your left leg and went to side control. You know what happens in my side control. Pain and/or hypoxia.

  • That arm bar wont work on a blue belt. Dudes palm is facing up, sideways. I would have cross faced you with the right arm and stacked you and went to side control. i dominate from side control.

  • bad technique ..sry

  • instead of swinging your leg over why not just do a cutting armbar?everythings in place for it anyway

  • you should learn bjj before you teach it

  • Why don't you come and teach me? ;)

  • @figthersdreams internet warrior vs pissed off black bjj guy! COME GET YOUR TICKETS!

  • @figthersdreams - don't sweat jawbreakerjimmy. there are a lot of ways to set up the armbar from the guard, and i personally like to set it up using the high-guard over the shoulder like that. good luck with your training man.

  • @figthersdreams can i come and teach too

  • @figthersdreams he probably will. his name on youtube is jawbreakerjimmy. lol.

  • @figthersdreams nice good good man ^_^

  • @figthersdreams why dont YOU come and teach me id really appreciate it =P

  • @attardwayne444 i call this this people "you tube warriors"....they just like to talk %$#@ and not appreciate nothing, they never have a profile, a name or ever upload a video showing they won technique, all they do is talk, obviously they will never will be MA or MMA cuz first of all, you must have respect for others with out it you just a #, good job figthersdreams keep posting your videos the world need more people like you.

  • @attardwayne444 lol you have a good attitude. where do you train ?

  • @hummurabi2010 hah i only wieght lift

  • @JawBreakerJimmy This armbar is also in judo not only in bjj and i saw this dude at a grappling tournement....he was owning.

  • @JawBreakerJimmy...BJJ was not the inventor of the arm bar, so please talk what you know. If you feel that way, do what he said and teach him, don't smash him with a bunch of rhetoric. Find him, compete with him and hopefully u won't get smashed!!! True Martial Arts is not about ego's and knowing every God Damn thing!!!

  • @JawBreakerJimmy it's pretty easy to just mouth off. Why don't you say specifically what he is doing wrong? Why don't you post some instructionals of your own, there stud. I went to your page and it's all Lady GaGa stuff. Why don't you stop listening to stupid tacky gay music and then mouth off?

  • @JawBreakerJimmy im pretty sure the thumb is suppos to be facing up when you armbar and.....just...ya

  • C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER.

  • You go like dis, and like dis, and like d- K.O.

  • hahahahah

  • yeah sloppy , that stuff woudn't work on anyone. u got the idea but there are so many holes int that.

  • @GHRepresent actually thats the correct way from that position dumbasses

  • @chrlzbrks , if you could u read, if only u could read, u would learn that i never said it was wrong, i just said there were a lot of holes in his execution of the technique. it lacks tightness, he is relying on speed rather tightness and proper techique in this sloppy armbar.

  • @chrlzbrks no its really not. go to a real bjj school like a gracie barra or gracie humaita school and u can learn a real armbar

  • keep ya moves simple and quick no pissing about you dont have time in fights.

  • u can do if u no ur opponent

  • TUPAC'S ALIVE!

  • AND HE"S FRENCH!!!

  • riiiiiiight......

  • @MrPolskaDuma lol :D

  • @MrPolskaDuma lol he does kinda look like him

  • @MrPolskaDuma hahahhha that made me laugh!

  • You want to try and trap the arm diagonally across your chest and do it from there for better control instead of vertically.

  • you're both wrong, it was a little more than 2 and a half lol..and yeah holdyerground is completely right

  • I notice you posted this 2 years ago. Hopefully your technique has progressed since then, because even a blue belt can see that you are way too sloppy to be teaching anybody anything.

  • Whatever you say man ;)

  • @figthersdreams come on dude. its not the worst thing ive ever seen but you do realize there are much better teachers and practicioners than yourself?

  • this was 3 years ago btw

  • Yeah? At this point in time what were your credentials in submission wrestling or BJJ?

  • @holdyerground1 Why don't you make videos and show us how it's done.

  • @jagexisthedevil Why would I make a video on the armbar from guard when there are numerous experts on the subject, such as BJJ black belts, who already have produced such media. This guy, however, despite his questionable submission grappling experience at the time of the filming as well as the sloppy looking technique, believes he has the authority to determine that "most guys" do the armbar wrong and that this particular variation is superior.

  • Black GSP thank you.

  • sounds like pedro from napoleon dynamiteXD

  • I think they call this one a walking armbar....breaking the guys posture really helps with this one, esp when you're rotating out. Something that wasn't really outlined to us very well, cool vid.

  • Then you get powerbombed..

  • @sad18240 you're cool bro. stupid ass keyboard warrior who probably never trained a fucking day in his life.

  • oh shit its a black GSP!!

  • It seems like it took a long time to set up & by that point your opponent would know what you were trying to set up.

  • @domokunAA He's showing it to you at an incredibly slow pace, when you actually execute the armbar is a lot faster. That's the most basic armbar drill that all beginners do.

  • thanks, cant wait to try it.

  • you also should turn the wrist in the direction of their thumb, hurts way worse

  • Wth my armbar doesnt hurt ? I tried it on my cousin and he said itfelt like he was just getting his arm stretched, not hyperextended? What exactly do you have to do to get the armbar? Like I know how to get into the position but my armbar doesnt hrut? help?

  • Well, your hips are probably too high. You must position them at his elbow level. You push with the hips and pull his arm down in the opposite direction. You shouldn't try those techniques unsupervised. Go to a jiu-jitsu school and ask em to show you

  • @figthersdreams jujitsu school is a shitload of money

  • @itsallgood239 a shit load of money? Most places have atleast 3 classes a week for only 60$-100$ a month

  • @hazard2000

    Not where I live man.

  • yeah thats right, if you have it in the right final stage just pull his arm downward and push ur hops up to hyperextend it, i actaully just pulled off an armbar today.

  • you just suck, and youre soft, it's ok

  • That's stupid to try an armbar on someone who doesn't know a thing about jiu jitsu. It typically doesn't hurt until it pops or you do damage.

  • @sad18240 hey shit for brains. I was replying to

"SuckMehDook" demonstrating an arm bar out on his cousin who clearly never trained jiu jitsu and wouldn't know when to tap if the arm bar really was tight.

And your comment in itself is retarded. I don't try to break my opponents arm in any of the tournaments I've compete at. What I'm saying is, I never rip on an arm bar, quickly, unless in self defense.

  • @SuckMehDook remember that when you push, the pinkie is supposed to point down and the thumb point up up

  • demo is a little sloppy in terms of fluidity but the technique was fine. the real question is why not just compression armbar that set up? Yes, its lower percentage but its a brilliant set up position which CAN get taps so why not?

  • there is anoother name to that. Friction. lol

sincerley bbboykh lol im on i gave my sis this account

  • thanks man it actually works

  • did i hear some crackling in his arm when he went down lol

  • lol the thumb??? Pinky isnt to the chest??? i dont think i'd tap on that "SO CALLED REALLY GOOD ARMBAR". I think you've forgotten the Basics. Im not hating on the video its cool but just think its funny

  • If you notice, the back of his hand is pointing towards the chest. Both thumb up or back of the hand towards the chest give you the same exact result. If the thumb is down or the palm is down then you wont get the armbar. Anyone whos been armbarred should know this. Its very easy to test this. Stick your hand out in front of you and notice where your elbow points when you move your hand around to all four positions. Two of them put your elbow in the correct downward position.

  • nah bro. Better when pinkys towardz chest. But i guess everyone has there own way of doing things. I just read my comment i wrote before, its sounded abit cheeky of me so sorry dude in the clip lol. Keep it up, gotta love it

  • Comment removed

  • The thumb pointing to the sky is the way you learn the armbar and the ideal position to execute it. However once you get better at it, you learn to move your hips toward the direction the thumb is pointing since it isnt always picture perfect in a fight. The only mistake I saw in this video is that your not squeezing your knees together as you lift your hips. Other than that it was nice. Although if you hug the guys arm like that, a jiu jitsu guy will know whats coming.

  • exactly what i was thinking... this armbar sucks bad

  • there are so many other ways to get an armbar that are waaay less complicated

  • true but from that position this would probably be one of the safest ways if you want to avoid getting hit by being more defensive but a bit slower
